Goodbye For Now

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm not going to be here for the next week as I'm off on vacation to Tunisia in Africa with my family for some much needed relaxation. Although, I probably won't get to relax with my little brothers been there! They always make me go on the water slides first.. bet they have a good laugh at me haha!

p.s I would of done some guest posts, but I didn't understand how it's done (it doesn't take much to confuse me) haha.

Hope you all have a lovely week anyway :)
& I'll catch up on everyone's posts when I'm back in the UK.

Lips In Peach Sundae

So yesterday when I went shopping with one of my best friends to Meadowhall, I picked up one of Topshops lipstick. I was um-ing and ah-hing between this one and infrared, which is a lot brighter than it shows on their website, it's a vibrant orange for anyone that hasn't heard of it before. I decided to play it safe with a peachy/coral shade instead, as I thought that I'd get more wear out of it than a bright orange. (I will purchase something more exciting than nude, coral next time I promise) haha!
This is the first time I've tried anything from Topshops make up range, quite embarrassing to say they've had one for a few years now.
*hangs head in shame*
The lipstick is retailed at £8.00, which I think is quite cheap for a lipstick, especially if your like me and can't always afford one of the high-end lipsticks such as YSL, MAC etc.
I found the lipstick was easy to apply, had great pigmentation and left my lips feeling nice and moisturised.
There isn't anything that I disliked about the lipstick.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks before?
Or any of their beauty cosmetics?

Whilst I were in Topshop it seems that my 'to buy' list has got even longer! I saw the nicest boyfriend coat that I've ever laid eyes on, the only thing is that it's... lime green! I'm a little scared that I would look like the Grinch or something if I got it haha! Has anyone seen it?

Skin Care | Tag Post

I was tagged by Megan at MaybeItsMeganLeigh today to do a skin care tag, thank you lovely!
If you haven't checked out her blog already.... DO IT! She has some great make up tips on her blog.

Right...

Describe your skin care routine in 5 words:
Exfoliate, cleanse, tone, moisturise, be healthy!
* 6 words, woopsie! So rebellious ;) *

What's your skin type?
Combination
waaah :(
I breakout with spots and dry skin in certain places.

Top blemish zapper?
I wish I owned a spot zapper! If only I had Harry Potters wand.
I use different things for my spots all the time as my skin gets use to products and then they aren't as effective after a couple of weeks. I keep using La Roche Posay - Effaclar Duo when I have breakouts, but I wouldn't say it's a miracle worker.

Face wipes, yay or nay?
YAY and NAY!
I try my best not to use facial wipes as they aren't the best for your skin and don't always remove all of your make up, but I'm guilty of carrying a packet in my handbag daily for those spur of the moment times, when you end up staying over at one of your friends houses. I wouldn't be able to carry around my daily skin care products. My bag already weighs a tonne!

Toner, yay or nay?
YAY! I always use toners after removing my make up and when I've been in the shower/bath. It's important to use a toner as it tightens your pores to minimise the chance of dirt and germs getting into your skin.

High-end skin care or high-end make up?
High-end skin care! Although it would kill me not been able to purchase any high-end make-up from time to time. I think your skin comes before make-up always! You never feel like your make up looks nice when you have bad breakouts/dry skin etc. I must admit that I'm quite new to 'high-end skin care' but I've noticed a big difference in my skin since using it.

What's the most unusual skincare product you've tried?
Hmmeee.. Possibly a mud bath I had on whilst on holiday in Turkey, it smelt disgusting! (I dread to think what was in it). But saying that I'd probably say all skincare products if I knew what was in them. Sometimes it's best not to know!

Tell us your top skincare tip
EXFOLIATE, CLEANSE, TONE, MOISTURISE, BE HAPPY & HEALTHY.
what goes in, must come out
always remember that when tucking into naughty food and drinks!
My tip would be to drink plenty of water as this really does improve your skin & keep stress levels low :)

I TAG:
Bethany - missbethanyx
Harriett - byootee
Rachel - beautypea
Rheya - pixirella

L'Oreal Paris - Lumi Magique | Beauty

L'Oreal Paris - Lumi Magique - Pure Light Primer

As you all know I LOVE my L'Oreal!
So here is one of my recent purchases that I included in one of my posts to show you what I'd been spending on lately. Now as you can see in the picture above it's a pretty pearlescent colour, which is kind of like a liquid but a little thicker.
Now when I mentioned this product previously I didn't really rate it at all, in fact I thought it was a waste! Well... when I had tried it before I was using it as a primer/base to my foundation. Although I found that it left my skin feeling silky soft and made my foundation a lot more blend able, making it easier for me to apply my make up. I found that the longevity of the product didn't seem any different to usual and I found that you lost the luminous effect so it kind of defeated it's own purpose in my eyes.

Now my opinion has totally changed towards the product and I really like it.
When using a few drops of the Lumi Magique mixed with foundation it has a total different effect. It makes the skin have the prettiest sheen/glow to it. If you're like me and you love your glowy products, give it a go! Honestly you won't regret it. (Nobody will think that your glow came from a bottle). I've also heard that it's really good to use as a highlighter, now I don't know about that just yet as I haven't tried it, but I'll have to give it a whirl this week. I hope it's just as good for that too as I've read quite a lot of reviews from people that have just bought the product for that particular reason.

So just to clarify I don't rate the product as a primer, but find that it's really good as a illuminator :)
You can purchase this from your local Superdrug or Boots drugstore and if you don't have one then check out their websites online.
Retailed at £9.99

Have you tried this product yet?
What's your favourite primer?

Henna Treatment Wax | Hair Product

Natural Classic - Henna Treatment Wax

When I sit and think of all the things my hair has been through, I feel quite bad!
It's been though so much... drying, dying, curling, straightening, back combing, treatments, different weather conditions & I don't have it cut as often as I should.
It's about time that I started looking after my hair, the poor thing!
When I were researching last week for good hair treatments. Henna Wax was one of the most popular with quite a lot of positive reviews. So I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Natural Classic Henna Treatment Wax revitalises all types of hair particularly hair which has been damaged by bleaching (sob, sob) perming or tinting (had my fair share of that too).

How I apply mine:
1. I wash my hair thoroughly with shampoo
2. With my hands/fingers I massage the treatment through my hair mainly on the tips, but it does say to apply on the scalp too. I don't really follow that part *tut tut*
3. I cover my hair with tinfoil. It isn't attractive in anyway and kind of looks like a tin swimming cap, but it does the job! As the treatment works best when hair is warm :)
4. Depending on your hair it's up to you how long you leave it on for. On the tub it states between 15-30 minutes. I leave mine on for an hour.
5. Rinse out the treatment and apply some of your daily conditioner to make it smell and feel super soft.

Now I do this once or twice a week if I get chance and it really does work wonders.
When I don't get chance to sit about with my tin foil swimming cap on I just apply my Moroccan Oil after I've towel dried my hair, it smells delicious that stuff.

I only paid 99p for this in BodyCare and you get 20% free!!!
Would I repurchase? Of course!
Have you tried a henna treatment before?

Collection - Work The Colour - Eyeshadow Pencil | Beauty Review

When it comes to highlighters or any thing similar I'm like a magpie and have to purchase it (I nearly wrote steal then) thinking about what magpies do with silver haha!
Now you probably all know Collection for their Lasting Perfection - Concealer which we all love just a tad too much. Well when I was mooching around Superdrug the other day I came across the 'Collection - Work The Shadow - Eyeshadow Pencil'  I didn't really know what I would think to an eyeshadow in a stick or in fact the texture of it as I quite like my powders. Plain Jane sometimes, I know! But there seems to be quite a lot of eyeshadow pencil's about at the moment so I thought I would try one out. I must admit this shade caught my eye the most, it's called Vanilla Sky. I'd label it as quite a light champagne colour.
I apply mine in the inner corners of my eyes and sometimes as a base all over my lid.
Now I didn't actually realise that this was waterproof until I tried to rub my swatch after it had been on about 20-30 seconds and it wouldn't budge.
Kind of gave myself an Indian burn!
I was wondering why it was actually staying put all day. Now they are really easy to blend in, but you do need to be quite quick as I say after so long they won't move a muscle.
This may have to be another one of my favourites from the Collection range. I can't stop reaching for it in a morning and the longevity is so so good!

Collections - Work The Shadow sticks come in 6 different shades and are only retailed at £2.50.
You can pick these up in a Superdrug drugstore or online on their website.

Have you tried any of these yet?
Or something similar?

Just a little update as I'm so excited! My mum and dad have surprised me with a little get away to Tunisia in 13 days. We are staying in one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen and I cannot wait to take advantage of the spa and all their treatments. I'm quite nervous about flying this time as it's been quite sometime since I last went on a aeroplane, but I'm so looking forward to it and the all inclusive food of course.

Estee Lauder - Day Wear

Estee Lauder - Day Wear
'Advanced multi-protection anti-oxidant creme'
Oil free SPF 25

Sorry that I haven't posted much this week (blame it on my sister). Nah, my sister has come up to visit me and my family as she lives down South and doesn't get to see us that often. So I've been making the most of having her home for a few days. It's been so nice to have someone to do things with, I've missed having her home. She goes back home tonight though :( and I won't get to see her until Christmas. I've had a great time with her though & I'll be counting down the days till Christmas soon enough.
BUT look what she gave me!!!!!!
I've never owned anything from Estee Lauder so I was over the moon when she gave me this the other morning. She said she didn't really use it and thought that I would love it. (She was right!)
So a big thank you to my sister Rochelle!
She's recently started reading my blog and blamed me for her pricey hauls in Superdrug and Boots, oops!

Right... So this little beauty is a moisturiser that you can wear everyday, but it has lots of other little bonuses too. As I suffer with blemishes, spots and dry skin this product is perfect for me.
As it's oil free and non acne genic which means it won't cause you to get any spots or breakouts, yippee!
When you apply this cream it doesn't feel too heavy on the face like most moisturisers and it absorbs into your skin quite quick. I've found that it's perfect for those days where you just want to wear concealer or even as a foundation base. A few people have commented and said that my skin looks 'is glowing'. So I quickly tell them I've been using this product and not to worry as I'm definitely not pregnant haha!
If you suffer with dry skin like me then you'll know that it can make your skin appear older and not so youthful. This cream is so good at keeping your skin hydrated, I don't think I can rave about it enough! I absolutely LOVE it. It has a light scent to it which reminds me of the smell of cucumbers?
I apply mine AM and PM and my skin looks so much better since using this product and I WILL go out and re-purchase when I run out.
It is retailed at £40.00 but the tub is quite large, you get 50ml.
Let's just say a little goes a long way :)

Do you use any of the Estee Lauder skincare products?
Let me know if so as I'm looking for some new bits and pieces in my skincare range and don't mind paying that extra bit if it's as good as I've found this to be.

Recent Purchases | Beauty Post

I must be the Queen of L'Oreal!
I think if you're going to buy a drugstore foundation or mascara this is thee brand to go for.
I always find myself getting carried away but you can't complain when it's a 3 for 2 offer.
You kind of stick with what you know though when it comes to good cosmetics.
So I recently went to Superdrug and picked up a few bits and pieces.
Starting from left to right from the top picture

Barry M - Nail Paint in 'Matt White'
I think everyone needs a white nail polish and I really like how long Barry M polishes last on your nails. Well this type does I do not rate the Barry M Gelly paints at all but they have the prettiest colour of shades in them.
£2.99

L'Oreal - Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer
I think it is so so hard to find a good primer. This one does illuminate your skin making you look like you have more of a glow but it doesn't make your foundation last any longer than usual when you use it under your foundation, which is disappointing. L'Oreal you let me down on this one!
Although it does make your skin feel super soft I wouldn't repurchase this.
£9.99

L'Oreal - True Match Foundation
Usually sticking to my L'Oreal - Infallible 16 hour foundation. I decided to go back to one of the foundations that I used as a teen, by that I mean just leaving secondary school. I never really wore make-up in school. What I love about L'Oreal foundations is that they feel so light on the skin, so you don't have that 'cakey' feeling. They are also perfect for the coverage! I'm a coverage girl as I have quite a few skin imperfections.

L'Oreal - Skin Perfection - 3 in 1 Micellar Solution 200ml
This solution removes all traces of make-up!
Not only that, but it also draws out excess oil and impurities leaving your skin feeling soft and toned.
Basically it removes make-up, unclogs pores and tones/soothes the skin, as it states on the front of the bottle. I'm a little late in purchase this beauty blogger sensation. I wouldn't go crazy over it, but it does the job!
£4.99 each
I got this on 'buy 2 for £5' in Superdrug

L'Oreal - Lash Architect - Mascara
If you know me by now or you've been following my blog for a while you'll know this is my holy grail mascara. It lengthens and gives your lashes volume like you wouldn't believe. Check out one of my earlier blog post's about this mascara for full details.
L'Oreal - Lash Architect | Blog Post
£10.29

Collection - Lasting Perfection - Concealer
I already have this concealer in Light, but I wanted a medium shade to try out and this one suits my skin tone a lot more at the minute. It's kinder like having a few foundation shades for when you have a lighter or darker tan. I love how long lasting this concealer is for the price it must be one of those beauty items that everybody and their nan has.

Barry M - Nail Paint in 'Confetti - Sour Apple'
A Sales advisor in Superdrug kind of twisted my arm in to this one telling m how amazing it look's over the top of a white polish. I'm not that keen in all fairness, but I think that's because I like to keep things plain. Boring ZzzZzz!
£3.99

Have you been using any of the products above?
If you suffer from skin imperfections or spots, what do you use on your skin?
I'm yet to find the perfect product

So here are a few items that I want to purchase from Topshop
I love that blacks in for this A\W! Whenever I wear black I always pair it up with a red lipstick/stain. There's so many clothes that I want to buy at the moment but these have to be my favourite. I had to stop myself from adding a pair of PJ's to the list D: Everyone loves Jim Jams though, right?

1. MOTO BLACK JAMIE HIGH WAISTED JEANS
 £40.00
I think these would go with pretty much everything

2. LIPS IN HAZARD
£8.00
This has got to be the nicest shade of lipstick! Has anyone tried it?

 3. NOTCH NECK BOYFRIEND COAT - LIGHT GREY
 £85.00

4. ARABEL2 CUT OUT BOOTS
£70.00

5. LIPS IN TRIGGER
£8.00

6. I HATE EVERYONE - OVERSIZED TEE
 £18.00
Sums me up nicely!

Someone tell me that I HAVE to buy all of these, pretty please :)
Just so it gives me some excuse to go out and buy them haha!
How awesome are the ARABEL2 cut out boots? I don't want them, I NEED them!!
I really, really, really like the coat as well, but it's one of those coats that you have to try on.
With me being so small and tiny framed I don't know if its going to suit me, but I'm lusting for it.

Which is your favourite item out of my Topshop wish list?
I'm really looking forward to getting an A/W wardrobe now. The nights are getting darker earlier eeek! It won't be long till we are waking up to crispy leaves and having to wrap up warm. I seriously should consider getting a Winter boyfriend or SATC box set... Yeah! That one sounds more appealing.

Anxiety/Panic Attacks.

The reason that I'm writing this post is to help others, to let them know that opening up about it is a good thing and that you don't have to bottle things up.
Easier said than done I know! I always bottle up my problems and I'm always there to make sure everyone else is ok before thinking of my own health. I've suffered with extreme anxiety and panic attacks since I were about 18 (I'm now 22), but they have been a lot worse over the last couple of years.

For those of you that don't know what a panic attack or anxiety is:
Anxiety is a feeling of unease. The feeling of unease can range from mild to severe, and can include feelings of worry and fear. A panic attack occurs when your body experiences a rush of intense psychological (mental) and physical symptoms. You may feel an overwhelming sense of fear, apprehension and anxiety. As well as these feelings, you may also experience physical symptoms.  They make your body feel as though you are in danger. The attacks themselves usually last a couple of hours for me that's including the build up and the after affects, but yours could be totally different to mine as mine change all the time too. Most of the time they last between 5-20 minutes. I don't think I've had any that are the same so don't brand them with what I may list.
When my anxiety is bad it usually makes me feel faint, sick, scared, nervous, upset, stressed and drained. Then when I'm having an attack it makes me feel like I can't breathe (some say that your mind thinks you're having a heart attack) and your heart beats really fast, you feel as though your going to pass out, have hot and cold sweats and at it's worst you feel like you're dying. I won't go into any personal details as to what triggers mine or what could of caused it. The way my attacks come out could be very different to how yours may be if you suffer from it. If you suffer from them on more than one occasion, get to know your panic attacks or what may trigger them. You'll find ways of reducing them, making you feel better and coming out of that zone that you can be stuck in for a lengthy period of time.

All I would say and recommend is please don't go through it on your own, it's not nice to go through things without talking to anyone and feeling like you can't confide in someone. I went to the doctors with mine as it took me along time to tell my family and friends about what I were going through as it's hard for them to understand how you feel. What I've found is that no one can sympathise with you enough until they have been through something similar themselves. I find it hard to open up to my loved one's about how I feel and how it affects my life. Sometimes you just sit there and wish that you could just be normal... but what is normal?

When I've got bad anxiety or I've come around from a panic attack there's a few things that help me.
  • Making a list of everything that's bothering you at the moment in time. Whatever it is that you're feeling it's not going to feel that way forever. You just have to keep reminding yourself of this.
  • Talk to someone.. whether it be a doctor, friend, family member etc. Don't go through anything alone.
  • Have a big pamper night... I usually pop on a Face mask, light some candles, have a hot bubble bath, read one of my favourite Paige Toon books (currently on Pictures Of Lily) or treat myself to a spot of shopping online.
  • Make plans with your friends or family, get yourself out of the house. It is hard to push yourself but you will feel so much better when you've done it.
  • Set yourself some little goals to help you get back into your daily routine.
  • Tell yourself that you CAN do it :)
  • Keeping things positive!
Two things I do avoid when I'm having a rough time is drinking caffeine and alcohol it doesn't help at all, it actually makes it a lot worse than it already is for me.

This is very personal for me to talk about and to openly admit that I suffer from an anxiety disorder. I just hope that anyone reading this that also suffers doesn't feel like they're going through it alone and that it affects a lot of us. One in three people usually go through something similar once in their lifetime. I will always be supportive of people that suffer with anything like this and just want to say a big thank you to anyone that's been there for me through my worst days, I don't know what I'd have done without you xxx

Just keep going :)
