MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOWS; SHIMMA SHIMMA, FRAPPE, COCOA BEAR, BITTEN & BURLESQUE.

MAKEUP GEEK EYESHADOWS; SHIMMA SHIMMA, FRAPPE, COCOA BEAR, BITTEN & BURLESQUE.

Makeup Geek is an American make up brand owned by one of the famous YouTubers' Marlena | you can follow her channel here.. On her YouTube channel she often shares videos of make up loos she's created, tutorials on how to blend eyeshadows, sneak peaks at the new products and a lot more. She seems like such a lovely lady and a very successful one at that. When I found out that BeautyBay was stocking their products I was over the moon and couldn't wait to purchase some of their eyeshadows. Although I did have to wait a few weeks for them to come back in stock as they sold out so quickly. BeautyBay restock the Makeup Geek products every couple of weeks, so you have to be quick when they get restocked. I was like a kid at Christmas waiting for these to be delivered as they've been raved about so much on YouTube and are often compared to the Mac Cosmetics eyeshadows. These eyeshadows are out of this world and I can't believe the quality of them for the price. Each of these eyeshadows are just £4.95 a shadow and they come in pan form.

SHIMMA SHIMMA
Shimma Shimma is described as a metallic champagne and it certainly is. I've been applying this one to the inner corner of my eye (without irritation) and it looks great when used as a highlighter on the rest of the face too. This is one of my favourite eyeshadows that I've purchased and it's taken over my last favourite, which was Mac - Nylon. This eyeshadow is super pigmented and so buttery. There's nothing worse than chalky eyeshadows.

FRAPPE
Frappe is a matte warm medium brown shade that is a beautiful for an everyday transition shade. I really like this shade. The pigmentation is good and the product is creamy, but it's no Cocoa Bear. Although they look quite alike in the swatches above, Frappe is a lot lighter than Cocoa Bear and you do have to layer this one up for a more intense colour pay off. I like to use Frappe in the crease of the eye and then I go in with Cocoa Bear.

COCOA BEAR
Cocoa Bear is a matte warm toned red brown. This is my all favourite out of the eyeshadows that I bought. I like to use Cocoa Bear as a transition shade when I want to do a smokey eye or give them that extra definition to make the eyes look more intense and warm them up a little. This eyeshadow is again very pigmented and creamy, such good quality for the money. Cocoa Bear was so hard to get hold of, it went out of stock twice before I could order it! It's just one of those must have eyeshadows, I honestly don't know what I'd do without it now.

BITTEN
Bitten is a matte brown red shade so if you're looking for the perfect matte burgundy eyeshadow?! Look no further! You will love and need this one within your eyeshadow palette. Bitten has great colour pay off and it is the perfect shade for fall. I've fallen in love with the colour of this one so much. I can't wait to create a a vampy eye with this one. This one was also hard to get hold of so if it's in stock go, go, go!

BURLESQUE
Burlesque is very similar in colour to Bitten, although it is a little darker. Is more of a purple, burgundy, brown? And it has a satin/metallic finish. This shade is going to get used a hell of a lot throughout the Christmas period. Can I rock a dark smokey eye all day err'day? This looks gorgeous all over the lid paired with a nice matte black to create a gorgeous smokey eye, don't forget to add some winged liner though. You can see just how pigmented it is on the swatch above, in fact you can see just how great they all are.

I can't wait to create an eye look for you with some of these eyeshadows and I've already got a list of other eyeshadow shades that I want to purchase from MUG. They do a great black called Corrupt that appears to be the darkest black matte shadow I've ever seen. I can't wait to purchase some more already!

Also if you wish to use these in your Mac Cosmetics palette you'll need to purchase some magnets, you can get them really cheap off eBay or Amazon.

COCOA BROWN INSTANT TAN BRONZING GEL MATTE, SHIMMER & DELUXE DOUBLE-SIDED TANNING MITT PINK VELVET

COCOA BROWN BRONZING GEL MATTE, SHIMMER & DOUBLE SIDED PINK VELVET TANNING MITT

Cocoa Brown has been my favourite brand for so long when it comes to fake tan, especially over the last 1/2 years and I've tried a lot of fake tan. Well ladies and gents they have some new products on the shelves Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gels and they come in two different formula's, one being matte and the other shimmer. Perfect for when you need a quick tan whether it be for a night out or for when you need that little top me up to make you feel/look good and it just got even easier, these products are a god send for people that never have enough time for a pamper.

Now there isn't just me and many other that love Cocoa Brown fake tan... Kylie Jenner has even revealed that she uses Cocoa Brown fake tan for Tanning Thursday! Now if it's good for Kylie Jenner it's good for us all right?!

COCOA BROWN INSTANT TAN BRONZING GEL - MATTE

Now I'm not going to lie I've never been one to buy instant tans that you can wash off as I always panicked that I'd go out and the flood gates would open and I'd be left looking like a spotty Dalmatian dog. So whenever I applied any instant tans before it was always lent to me by a friend and I was right they left me streaky and as soon as the rain came down I was the Dalmatian! So I was really surprised with this product, it applied evenly (not a streak in sight), it lasted all day, the colour pay off with this product to say it's just an instant, wash off tan is amazing and then when I went to have a bath I had to apply a shower cream and gentle rub for the product to come off. The bottle has a resealable lid and you just have to give the bottle a tiny squeeze for the product to come out. No mess! This bottle contains 150ml of product, which is great value for money seen as though you're only paying £5.99 a bottle.

Please excuse my ghostly legs and bruise I'm currently supporting.

COCOA BROWN INSTANT TAN BRONZING GEL - SHIMMER

The owner of Cocoa Brown Marissa Carter has not failed when it comes down to the formal of both of these fake tan's. It's thick in consistency, which makes it easy to apply. It glides onto the skin so perfectly and that's without streaks like I mentioned previously. The fake tan also dries on the skin so quickly which means both of these will work great when you're in a rush. I applied mine and after I'd taken my blog photos I popped on my jeans and I had no transfer or rubbing off marks throughout the day. This product really is transfer and water-resistant, yet it washes off with ease once you're in the bath/shower. Cocoa Brown Instant Tan Bronzing Gel Shimmer will give you a beautiful sun kissed glow like you can see in the photo below. The bronzing gel has a lot of shimmer within the gel, but it's not too over the top like most shimmer products. I can't wait to apply this product throughout the Summer next year and I'll definitely be taking some in my luggage to wear on a night when I'm on holiday. This bottle contains 150ml of product, which is great value for money seen as though you're only paying £5.99 a bottle.

COCOA BROWN DELUXE DOUBLE-SIDED TANNING MITT PINK VELVET

When I opened up my little Cocoa Brown package I was more than excited to see this personalised tanning mitt. I was in so much ore that I didn't want to use it and ruin it, but you can't keep everything squeaky clean can you. The Cocoa Brown Deluxe Double Tanning Mitt is super soft on the skin and ensures that your tan is applied evenly, goodbye streaks! With this mitt being double sided it means you can obviously use both sides, which saves your hands from being stained with tan as with the one sided tanning mitts they usually leak through the material side, which is so annoying as you end up with an uneven tan on your hands. I've totally fell in love with this mitt! I will definitely be repurchasing when I'm ready for a new one. What I tend to do with this mitt is to use one side for my body and the other side for my face. As both of these fake tans are non-comodengenic which means that they're also safe to use on your face. Nothing bugs me more than having a tanned body and pale face, so I was really impressed to find out you can use these on both. I sometimes apply a little to my face like a moisturiser and then apply my foundation for a more bronzed look. Then you can wash it off at the end of the night. These mitts are such a bargain for just £4.50 too!

These little Cocoa Brown products would be great for any friend or family member as stocking fillers or maybe go all out and buy the rest. I'd definitely recommend all of the Cocoa Brown products that I have tried previously and the 1 hour instant tan that I have previously blogged about | read more here.

You can buy Cocoa Brown tan products online at SuperdrugCloud10Beauty & Feel Unique.

NYX COSMETICS SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN COPENHAGEN & TRANSYLVANIA.

NYX Cosmetics is an American brand that has finally been stocked on the UK drugstore website Boots. You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment to happen and to actually get my hands on both of these shades! As when I usually want to order something from their website it's always out of stock so when I had an email telling me that Boots was now stocking NYX Cosmetics I could of screamed. I made sure I was up mega early the morning everything went live and  I had to add these two lip products to my basket before they become out of stock here too. Both of these lip products are retailed at just £6.50 each, which I think is mega cheap for the quality of the products. I can't wait to stock up on more of these and some other products.

Copenhagen - (the one on the left)
Copenhagen is a beautiful wine/burgundy shade that is perfect for fall or all year round if you're into darker lip shades like me. If you wear plum shades a lot I'd really recommend this product for you. The thing that is good about NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams is that they don't go on fully pigmented so if you like to wear your deeper lip shades a little lighter then you can do or you can build it up for a more intense finish.

Transylvania - (the one on the right)
This one is a little more daring than Copenhagen as it's a very dark purple/burgundy, but it's still wearable as it's not stupidly dark, but it may seem a little intimidating to others or if you look at it in the tube as it looks near enough black! Once applied the colour is a lot lighter and I like to also layer this one up.

The only thing I could really niggle about these lip creams is the longevity of the product. Everything is all ok whilst you're not eating or drinking, but once you are then they do seem wear off quite easily. So make sure you carry it in your handbag to touch up after or apply a really good lip liner underneath the lip creams so that it stains the lips for you.

STRIPES & PINAFORE | OOTD.

 STRIPES & PINAFORE | OOTD.

How long has it been since I did an OOTD kinda post?! Yikes! I've had a crazy couple of months, but I'm back at home now so I'm back and I'm going to get back on top of my Blogger game. I hope you're all well anyway and hopefully glad to see me back ha!

Hello Autumn! (jumping the gun a little, but it won't be long and it definitely feels like Autumn already). I really can't believe how quick this year has gone. It's crazy! Anyway, back to the fashion post. There's something about pinafores that I love so much, whether it's on me or someone else. I think they are super cute and they never seem to go out of fashion either? I really need to get myself a little denim one too. I think they can look nice with a casual top like I've put underneath or dressed up with a nice shirt/blouse.

LACURA BEAUTY PRODUCTS | ALDI | REVIEW.

For anyone that has never heard of the brand Lacura before, it's a brand that is owned by one of the supermarkets in the UK called Aldi. Now I didn't even know that they stocked beauty products, skincare etc. until this year and I was so eager to find out after reading some pretty amazing articles online, especially about the Multi Intensive serum that is listed below, which is always out of stock and has some of the best reviews online. Most of the Lacura products are rumoured to be better than a lot of the drugstore products such as Boots No.7 and I've used their skincare range on and off for quite some time, so imagine how excited I was when I received these through the post. Now not only do these products have amazing reviews, they are soooooo affordable it's untrue.

LACURA Q10 RENEW | NIGHT CREAM £1.99*
Lacura Q10 Renew is an anti-wrinkle night cream that helps optimise skin structure, improve the skins elasticity and is proven to reduce fine lines/wrinkles when used regularly. Now anyone that knows me will know that I'm a sucker for a good night cream and that there's very few nights that I've gone to bed without applying one. Q10 Renew is to be applied to your face on a night time after you've removed your make up and cleansed your face. Now the first thing I noticed was the smell of this product it's a little 'old lady' but it soon disappears, which I can pretty much deal with. The consistency of the moisturiser is quite thick, but I find that even though it's thick it does sink into the skin quite quickly (yay, it won't ruin my pillow cases). Since using this cream I have noticed that my skin tone looks more even, my face feels very hydrated first thing in a morning, which it never really does as I suffer with dry skin. So I'm definitely impressed and I'm going to keep on using it to see if my wrinkles budge on my forehead. The packaging doesn't look like your typical £1.99 moisturiser either and it beats some of the dearer moisturisers that I own. The only thing I dislike is the frosted glass, but I've never liked the feeling of it.

LACURA AQUA-COMPLETE | MULTI INTENSIVE SERUM £3.49*
Lacura Aqua-Complete Multi Intensive Serum is aimed to improve the skins elasticity and help the skin appear and feel a lot smoother. When I was having a little look online before I received the product I was so surprised at some of the reviews that people had left about this product. No lower rating than a 4.5/5 and most people preferred the product to their high end ones such as Chanel, Kiehl's etc. So I couldn't wait to try it as there's such a big price difference when you think £50 to £3.49 isn't they? Now I've been applying 2 pumps of Aqua-Complete in a morning before applying my make up and I can't believe how hydrating it is for my skin. It's left my face feeling and looking a lot better than it usually does put it that way. The formula is very light weight and has a gel'ish texture to it, which is perfect if you're an everyday make up wearer like me. It sinks into the skin really quick without it leaving that heavy cloggy feeling, it doesn't even feel like you're wearing anything on your face, yet you're getting all the benefits? The scent of this one kind of reminds me of an old favourite of mine, which is Estee Lauder Day Wear, it has such a gorgeous fresh scent to it without it being too over powering and again the only dislike is the frosted glass, I love the fact that it has a pump dispenser though, much more hygienic. Go Lacura!

LACURA FACIAL CLEANSING WIPES | 3 IN 1 89p*
Lacura 3 In 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes for sensitive skin are a must have if you really don't have time to do the whole cleanse, tone, moisturise routine (we can all be too busy or lazy ha). Basically the wipes get rid of any make up, dirt and daily impurities. So if I'm having a lazy skincare kinda night I will use two wipes, one mainly for getting all my make up off and then another one just to make sure I cleansed properly as nobody likes make up left overs do they? I found that I really likes these wipes, they got rid of my make -up quite easily, didn't sting my eyes, and left my face feeling really soft and moisturised. Oh and they were really damp too (this is a god send to me, don't think I'm weird) there's nothing worse than buying a packet of wipes and them being near enough dry! Just why?! I was going to say don't buy cheap face wipes, but I can't even say that now as these wipes are only 89p for 30 wipes!

LACURA | MOISTURISING FACE WASH £1.29*
Lacura Moisturising Face Wash is said to suitable for all skin types and will help to soften and condition your skin. Now usually when I do you face washes they do tend to break me out or make my face really dry in places, but I gave it a whirl and wahlaaah I haven't had a breakout (touch wood). I didn't notice any big difference with using this face wash, but it does what it says.It does state that this product is fragrance free, but it does have a weird smell to it? Maybe it's the container?

LACURA | Q10 GENTLE DAILY FACE CREAM £1.49*
Ok so this is the Q10 Gentle Daily Face Cream, I think it goes with the night cream? Correct me if I'm wrong. This cream is for dry and sensitive skin that needs a little extra care and if you're wanting to slow down on those wrinkles. The cream contains anti-wrinkle co enzyme Q10, allantoin and almond oil oh and SPF 15, this is something we should all be aware of and making sure we're using. Please check your daily moisturiser does contain an SPF as obviously sun exposure is one of the worst things for those god damn wrinkles. I've just been applying this one in a morning when I know I'm going to be out of the house all day and let me say a little goes a long way. It doesn't have much of a scent to it, probably smells more like sun cream than anything else? and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated throughout the day. What I also really like is how handy the squeezy bottle is, it's one of those that you could pop in your handbag for when you're ever in need and helps control how much product you'd like to use.

LACURA PRO REVIVE | HAND CREAM 75p*
This is probably my least favourite product as I'm not really a hand cream type of girl, but I did try this out over the last couple of weeks and I did find that it left my hands feeling really soft and I didn't feel like I needed to reach for it everyday. Unlike some other hand creams I've used, my hands usually seem to get use to the product and then if I do stop using it my hands feeling worse than what they did to start with. Has anyone else ever experienced this? The formula is lightweight and doesn't leave any residue on your hands, you know when it makes your hands feel all oily and yuck?

Overall I'm really impressed with these products and I'll definitely be popping back into Aldi when my Aqua Complete Multi Intensive Serum and Q10 night moisturiser run out. I've even got my mum using some of the stuff and she's quite impressed! Sorry if it seemed like a long post and thank you for reading if you're still with me haha!

Have you tried any of these products before?

So here we have my everyday make up, now I know I'm not a make up artist, in fact I'm quite far from it, but I seem to get a lot of comments on my make up and I just thought I'd give todays kind of post a little whirl. Don't judge me if my make up isn't blended out properly, or if it looks a tad messy (please, thanks). We all have to start somewhere don't we? :) I wish I was born with a face that was easy to photograph too or is there some tips for taking make up photos that anyone could share with me? Now not only did I want to share my make up with you because of the requests I get and the questions I get asked about what I've used in my outfit posts etc. but I also thought it would be a great way for me to learn and give me a kick up the bum to study make up and how it should be applied properly.

Let me know if you'd like to see more make up posts on my blog and if you'd like it to be a weekly thing. Thank you

TASSLE BAG.

Hey everyone!

Hope you're all doing ok?! Just a quick blog post today as I wanted to share this old dress that I found when going through my wardrobes the other week (yes wardrobes, I have 3 ... gulp). Isn't it gorgeous?! This dress was actually passed down to me from by my mum and I've had it for about 5/6 years. So we could call it vintage? It has the most prettiest detailing, along with my favourite bell sleeves. It's funny how things come back in fashion so quick isn't it? I don't think I'll ever get rid of this dress, it's one of those dresses that you just can't let go of. I decided to pair this dress with my new bag from New Look that I got the other week, I love me some tassels! and of course my dr.martens to give it that festival look.

I've been so busy these last couple of weeks, I feel like I've been letting my blog down. So I'm going to try my best to get organised and schedule some posts whenever I have a free minute. Sorry if I've let anyone down.

SCOTT CORNWALL COLOUR RESTORE ICED PLATINUM & SHINE ON HAIR GLAZE.

Scott Cornwall is a hair care brand that is available online via our local UK drugstores such as Boots, Superdrug etc. You can also buy these products off of Amazon. This range aims at enchansing your hair colour and removing those old colours that you no longer want. Now if you're anything like me and you've had your hair every single colour under the sun and you're all for trying a new hair treatment, you'll know just how excited I was to try out these new products.

Scott Cornwall Colour Restore - Iced platinum hair toner 100ml £12.99*

Now anybody with blonde hair will understand just how hard it is to get the perfect blonde hair. We all want that perfect white blonde and never want our freshly dyed hair hair to appear ginger or have an awful brassy/yellow tinge to it. What the Scott Cornwall Colour Restore in Ice Platinum does is tones your hair, so you can say goodbye to that awful yellow, brassy hair and say hello to your new white platinum locks. Now if you're reading this and thinking, but I don't have blonde hair? Don't worry Scott Cornwall also comes in Cool Ash, Chocolate, Warm Honey and Deep Red. What I also love about this product is that you can use it as an intense toner treatment for 20-25 minutes or you can use it as an everyday condition and you'd only have to leave it on a couple of minutes and a little goes a long way so you'd get several goes out of this bottle.

How to:
Before we start you should ALWAYS make sure you do a skin test before going ahead with any hair product. This one takes 48 hours, but it's well worth the wait (trust me I've had a reaction before). Also make sure you wear gloves, old clothes or protect yourself with a towel as you may stain your clothes.

Step 1 - Wash your hair with a clarifying, clear or baby shampoo do not use conditioner and then towel dry your hair.
Step 2  - Apply & Develop
So after you've towel dried your hair squeeze a small amount of the toner into your hand and smooth evenly all over. Then you should comb through your hair for the first 5 minutes and then leave the hair to develop. This should take a further 20 minutes.
Step 3 - Rinse off your hair using luke warm water (not hot) do this until your water is running clear again. You won't need to condition your hair after applying this toner as it is also a conditioning treatment.

I honestly couldn't believe the results after using this product. I didn't expect much as I've just got a dull set of highlights, but it's brightened up my hair so much! This stuff is AMAZING! Now years ago I had the lightest, silver hair you could possibly wish for, but eventually my hair ended up being damaged and I had no option but to dye my hair dark. Now this was my fault because I was having my hair double coloured as I couldn't find a toner that worked without damaging my hair. Now if I would of had this product back then I don't think my hair would of been half as bad as it was. If you have blonde hair that needs toning then you definitely need this product in your life! It's one doll of a toner! Now not only did the product tone my hair, but it also left my hair feeling so soft, and it got rid of my daily frizz. Hallelujah!

Tip: when combing through your hair use a wide tooth comb, especially those of your with curly, frizzy hair.

Scott Cornwall Shine On Hair Glaze £12.99*

Scott Cornwall Shine On Hair Glaze is a hair conditioning treatment that may last in your hair for up to 24 washes, how amazing is that? I love these kind of treatments (so long as they aren't too heavy on the hair). Shine on is suitable for all hair types and hair colours, including bleached and grey hair. As the  products in this box set don't contain any ammonia or harsh chemicals and only uses a mild developer for increasing the hairs hydration and to protect against hair cortex. Now this box set comes with 3 separate hair products, which also includes gloves, instructions and it will only take you 20 minutes to achieve the 'desired look'.

How to:
The same again with this product, just like I mentioned above. You should ALWAYS make sure you do a skin test before going ahead with any hair product. This one takes 48 hours, but it's well worth the wait (trust me I've had a reaction before). Also make sure you wear gloves, old clothes or protect yourself with a towel as you may stain your clothes.

Pre Cleansing Treatment Part 1
Step 1 - Rinse hair under water for 1-2 minutes
Step 2 - Place a small amout of the pre cleansing treatment into your hands and work through the hair and then rinse thoroughly (this will get rid of any previous products such as shampoo, conditioner, styling products, dry shampoo etc.). Lightly towel dry the hair and apply a second amount of the pre cleansing treatment, lather and comb through your hair for about 2-3 minutes and then rinse off the hair and then lightly towel dry the hair.

Mixing & Preperation Part 2/3
Step 1 - Unscrew applicator nozzle on part 3 Collagen shine cream, pour all of part 2 developer into the part 3 bottle, replace nozzle and screw tightly. Gently shake the bottle for about a minute to make sure every things mixed together.
Step 2 - Apply cream directly onto damp hair starting at the mid-lengths and ends of the hair and then gently comb through. Make sure you leave a very small amount in the bottle for later on.
Step 3 - Finally apply to the root areas (or you could skip this step if you don't like your roots to look shiny). Then leave to develop for 20 minutes,
Step 4 - Before rinsing, apply the rest of the bottle to the hair and leave on for 1 minute. Then using luke warm water gently run the water through the hair to clear and of the creams residue (for about 3 minutes).
Step 5 - For best results you can blow dry, straighten to complete the treatment and have the full effect. (using straighteners shuts the cuticle and encloses the crystal clear molecules inside the hair). Don't wash your hair for 48 hours for best results!

I would recommend this to anyone with lifeless, dull hair to help regain that glossy shine that your hairs been missing out on. I haven't washed my hair 24 times yet, but it has lasted in my hair the 5-6 times that I have washed it. The fact that it's tames my frizz is a big bonus! (anyone that suffers with a daily frizz will get me) ha. So yeah it's definitely worth a try, I mean we all have different hair types and different hair conditions, so it's never going to work the same on everyone, but I hope you enjoy using this product as much as I did.

What treatments do you like to use on your hair?
