NYX FULL THROTTLE LIPSTICKS, TAME & FRAME BROW POMADE AND THE CONTROL FREAK EYEBROW GEL.

NYX Professional Makeup Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade
Ok so I've been a little massively behind when it comes to brow products. I've just used my trusty old Rimmel eyebrow pencil for years as I don't usually have to do much to my brows and anything quick in a morning usually works for me. So this is the first brow pomade I've ever tried (I know I can't believe it either) haha. I went for the shade Brunette as I have quite dark eyebrows anyway and this looked like a good shade without being to dark.
What I love about this product is how easy it glides onto the skin/hair. It's so easy to work with! I'm totally obsessed. The product is waterproof, which is great for Spring, Summer, holidays and it's only £6!

NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Eyebrow Gel

I use this product to set my brows once I've done them with the NYX Professional Makeup Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade. This product works without any product underneath, over pencil, over powder and pomade. You can even use it as a clear mascara if you're blessed with lovely lashes.
This product is non sticky and lasts all day. Not once do I have to touch my brows up when using both of these products together. I wasn't won over by the brush at first, but it works. I just think a comb brush would work a little bit better. This product is only £6 too. Such a bargain.

NYX Professional Makeup Full Throttle Lipstick
I was a little bit dubious about trying out these lipsticks previously as they never have the best reviews online, but I really love them! I don't think you can grumble for the price either for just £6 a lipstick. I've got 3 of these lipsticks now and just added these two to my collection. You can get these lipsticks in 12 different shades. They have a beveled tip making it easier to apply to the lip line. I'm all about quick make up these days. What I love about these lipsticks is the consistency for a matte lipstick. They feel so buttery/creamy on the lips when you apply and the coverage is amazing.

LANCÔME GRANDIÔSE LINER.

LANCÔME GRANDIÔSE LINER

The New Grandiôse Liner from Lancôme is here with it's new hinged 35 degree bendable handle. Making application a lot easier as the brush just flows with the natural contour of the eye. Lisa Eldridge worked very closely on the design of this product. The 35 degree angle has been designed to help you create the perfect angle and application for when you're applying your eyeliner, which will help you create the perfect flick. Finally an eyeliner that gives you some flexibility. We all know Lancôme is popular make up brand that has a lot of ratings when it comes to eye make up, especially the Grandiose Mascara. So I had high hopes when I received this product.

The eyeliner comes in three different shades; Noir Mirifique, Brun Mirifique and Saphir Mirifique (black, brown and navy) which are all matte. The colour I received was Noir Mirifique which is a matte black. I absolutely love the pigment of this eyeliner, its blacker than black.

This eyeliner is really good for getting close to the lash line, it just takes a steady hand to make sure you get a perfect line with no wobbly bits as the tip is so fine. As you can see in the picture below. Saying that though... I did the best eyeliner I've ever done yesterday. You know when it's that good that you don't want to wash it off? Yep one of those days! I applied the eyeliner at around 8am and it was still in the same place at 10.30pm last night. The colour hadn't faded and I had no smudges. I really like this eyeliner and I'll definitely continue to use it.

Here is a look that I created along with my every day make up routine.

Overall I really liked this product, but you do have to work quick with the eyeliner as the product seems to dry/set really quick, which I don't mind at all as the eyeliner stays put on the eye and doesn't loose any pigmentation throughout the day as stated above. The eyeliner has become a part of my daily routine and I'm loving it! Have you tried this eyeliner yet? What did you think if so?

RIMMEL 1000 KISSES LIP LINERS; CAPPUCCINO, SPICE, BLACK TULIP.

RIMMEL 1000 KISSES LIP LINERS; CAPPUCCINO, SPICE, BLACK TULIP.

Rimmel 1000 kisses lip liner are probably one of my favourite drugstore lip liners by far. I seem to have so, so many in my lip liner collection. I just thought I'd share my recent love for liners and what colours I can't seem to take off my lips over the last few months.

This lip liner is said to be one of Rimmels long wear lip pencils and that the product may even last up to 8 hours on the lips. 8 hours? Now I have found that all the Rimmel 1000 kisses lip liner's that I own do have a great staying power. I can seriously apply one of these in a morning and they last all day long pretty much. I may touch up once after my dinner or something (if needed). I've also found these liners to be super pigmented (see swatches), quite moisturising - as I don't find that they drag on the lips what so ever, not like some other liners I've had. Not too wet and not too dry. Basically these liners are such great value and a must have in your collection guys.

Shades L to R:

Cappuccino is a cool tone light brown, nude shade. There's something about this shade that I absolutely love! It's so different to any other brown/nude lip liner that I've ever owned before. Now I know this may not be every ones cup of tea when it comes down to the shade, but I find that this shade works perfect with my skin tone (nc25/30) and that it looks perfect paired with a nude lipstick. Especially Nude Delight from the Rimmel Moisture Renew collection. Now nude lip liners don't usually look any different or noticeable on my lips, basically they don't usually show up as I have quite dark lips naturally, but this one is perfect and it reminds me of an old lip liner that I use to wear from the range 17. Oh so 90s' babyyyyy.

Spice is a gorgeous rustic orange shade. I find that you can pretty much use this colour lip liner with nearly every nude, pink, coral coloured lipstick. It's pretty much perfect and such a natural colour with a pop of colour that will help to emphasise your lips without looking too OTT. This is a great everyday lip liner for those that don't like to wear a deep shade on their lips throughout the week or maybe not at all etc.

Black Tulip is a gorgeous plum shade, in fact it's the perfect berry shade I've ever come across. I find that I go for this lip liner the most out of all the three. It's my fave! I've gone through two of these in the last few months. I've worn this colour out! What am I going to do when the Summer comes? Is it acceptable to wear berry lips throughout the Spring/Summer? I also find that I like to pair this liner with a little bit of nude lipstick too. I like to add a touch to the middle and create an ombre look with this one. Also, this shade is just like one of their other lip liners in Wine. I previously owned Wine and picked up this one by mistake, but there's not much difference. Always be sure to check the names people!
L to R: cappuccino, spice, black tulip
These photos were taken with flash on, that's why they may appear a little bit lighter than the swatches above.

I honestly can't stop wearing these 3 shades at the minute. They have been my go to over the last few months. Especially Black Tulip, this one is my favourite out of the three at the minute. This time last year I would of still been in my trusty nude lipsticks, now look at me. I'll be wearing green next ha!

What is your favourite lip liner?

BOURJOIS - HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION - 53 | BEAUTY.

BOURJOIS PARIS - HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION - NO.53.

Recently I've been so desperate to try a new foundation, preferably something that was a little more dewy than my usual L'Oreal Infallible foundation, which has more of a matte finish. Now I'm not one for branching out in foundations as every time I've tried, they've either been the wrong shade or the coverage just wasn't right, but this year I've told myself that I will test more foundations and I will find the perfect match!

Now some may think that I'm a bit slow on the blogger hype, but I don't usually buy items just because everyone else has them, unless it has a unicorn on it or it's a little bit weird. As I do usually like to wait and read the reviews to see what people really thought after a few weeks/months of trialling the product, just so you feel like you have more of an honest opinion on the product and not just a review after using it for a day.

What I loved about the Bourjois - Healthy Mix Foundation was that the colour chart was a little more realistic than most drug store shades and it was more of a high end colour match for my skin. I went for no.53 and this is very much like my MAC shade, which ranges between nc25/30. The colour match couldn't be more perfect for my skin tone, with the subtle yellow undertones. The coverage of this foundation is great, you can choose between a medium coverage or something a little heavier with 2 pumps. I found that the foundation lasted such a long time on my skin, which I was quite shocked about with it being a dewy finish and with it not being set with a powder either. I would say that it lasts around 8 hours +. The finish of this foundation is lovely, it quickly adds youth to your skin with the dewy finish, but all I will say is that you may need to apply a little concealer to any heavy blemishes, as I had a scratch on the end of my nose (thanks dog) and it didn't really cover that for many hours, I did have to touch up once or twice throughout the day, but other than that I found this foundation pretty much perfect for my skin.

As you can see above the colour match is spot on for my skin tone and you can kinder see the dewy finish in the photo on the right. I think I've decided already that this is going to be my Spring/Summer, holiday foundation and I will definitely be re-purchasing this little gem. Have you tried any of the Bourjois foundations before?

What's your favourite foundation to date?

INSTAGRAM MOTD #1

INSTAGRAM MOTD #1
DRUGSTORE SELFIE.

I thought I'd start a new little series on my blog as I often get questioned about what make up I'm currently wearing in my little Instagram selfies. Sorry for the extreme posing to follow in these little posts. Girls gotta do, what she gotta do (sassy girl emoji).  I'll try not to wash my face out with the filters next time too! I was suffering with some horrible hormonal spots on this day... thank god for filters hey! Everything I used can be found in your nearest drugstores if you live in the UK that is. Nothing I used was very pricey so this may be helpful for you ladies out there that want good make up, but can't afford to splurge. Especially with Christmas coming up - cheaper/bargains are a must! I've definitely been loving me some berry lips this Autumn!

LOREAL TRUE MATCH - D4 W4.

THE OH SO FAMOUS YOUTUBE FOUNDATION

L'Oreal has always been one of my favourite brands when reaching for drugstore products especially when it comes down to foundations and mascaras.

When using L'Oreal foundation previously I've always gone for the 16 hour infallible foundation rather than the true match, but after watching hundreds of YouTube videos including videos from one of my favourites who highly recommends this one (Lauren Curtis) I had to add it to my basket. I did use to use this when I was at college, but I probably chose the wrong colour so I'm pretending I've never used it.

The consistency of this foundation is really thin and lightweight, whilst the coverage is pretty light-medium, it's definitely build able though and blends into the skin quite well. This shade is perfect for my skin tone (when I'm not supporting a holiday tan). I'm usually MAC NC25 if that helps? They are very similar in colour as you can see in the picture below. The foundation does last around 6 hours on my skin, which isn't too bad at all and is perfect for a lightweight foundation throughout the Summer. Nobody wants to feel all cakey when the sun is shining do they? This foundation also includes an SPF 17 which is another great bonus! It has a natural finish, sometimes it can appear matte and other times it can have more of a glow to it, this might have something to do with the fact that it adjusts to your skin though and mines different every day so that doesn't help ha!

L'Oreal always have super sleek/clean packaging and are yet to prove me wrong with any of their products. I don't think I've ever tried anything and hated it. I usually mix this foundation with the L'Oreal Lumi Magique illuminating primer as I like to have a bit of a natural looking glow to my foundation. I'm dying to try one from NARS, any recommendations ladies?

Sorry that it's been so long since I last posted guys, I've been without my laptop since before I went away as it came down with a stupid virus, which resulted in me loosing all my photo's etc. Major downer! I hope all is well anyway. It feels like I haven't wrote a post in far too long, but guess what? I'm BACK! eeeeek.

Bourjois Poudre De Riz De Java - Java Rice Loose Powder.

This item was bought for me as a gift by one of my close friends
Bourjois Java Rice is a loose setting powder that also helps to illuminate and brighten up your face. When I first looked into the little pot I was a little put off by the colour and sparkle. As the powder has a pink tone to it and looks very glittery. I thought it would leave me looking like an ashy disco ball, but once swatched and tested I couldn't have been more wrong. I suppose you should never judge a book by it's cover after all. I haven't tried this powder all over my face, just under my eyes where I apply my concealer and it hasn't budged to be honest. Even after a couple of hours out on my bike!

I've never really been one for setting powders as I like a dewy kind of finish. I hate anything that makes my face look matte and bland.I love any kind of product that's going to luminize and keep my make up in place. So when I opened this little gift I was over the moon and couldn't wait to test it. If I were out shopping the packaging would definitely catch my eye right away. I love anything that is vintage looking and this look's super cute sat on my dressing table. They should definitely bring out more make up with this style of packaging.

You can purchase this item in most Superdrug or Boots stores for just £9.99. I'm sure you'd love this product if you're one for setting powders that is.

have you tried this product before?
what do you use to keep your make up in place?

Revlon Colour Rush Balm - Give Me A Cuddle Review.

I basically bought this product on a whim. I was never into the Revlon lip butters, Bourjois colour boost lip crayons or the clinique chubby sticks. In fact this is my first lip balm that I've bought in a long time! I think the only thing close to this that I own is the Jelly Pong Pong lip crayon that came free in one of my Glossy boxes. *hides face in shame*

You can buy the Revlon colour rush balm's in 7 different shades. I went for 'Give Me A Cuddle' how cute is that name? I'm a sucker for a good name. Nothing bugs me more than just a number. Give Me A Cuddle is a pale pink balm as you can see in the pictures above. Sorry that there isn't a swatch (fake tan arms doesn't compliment it very well).  The balm is super moisturising, with a great pigmentation to say its a balm and left my lips feeling hydrated all night long. I did re-apply quite a few times, but when do we go out and not have to re-apply our lippies girls? That's something that will never happen, unless you have some kind of cosmetic tattoo done on your lips haha.

I've recently read quite a lot of reviews from beauty bloggers that didn't really rate these balms, but I couldn't fault it and I'll definitely be picking up some new colours. Especially with the summer coming in :) The scent of these crayons smell amazing too! Kinda reminded me of cupcakes or something really sweet.

Purchased from Boots store for just £5.99

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick 26.

  Just another nude SHOCK

So when I went to Meadowhall shopping with some of my work friends recently, I popped in Boots for a new lipstick. I did go in there thinking I was going to buy a pink or coral... Something different to nude anyway.
Duh, duh, duhhhhhhh!
We have another nude to add to the collection!

This lipstick is part of Kate Moss's 2nd lipstick range and just costing £5.49 a lipstick, you cannot refuse. Not the when you say in your head 'well a MAC lipstick would cost me £15' that's the way I work when I'm shopping I just tell myself I can have everything by just comparing it to pricier things haha. The 2nd range of lipsticks appear to be a lot lighter than the first lipsticks that were brought out, more wearable throughout the day for me as I can't really pull off a dark lip in the day time.

Pros
Great pigmentation
Affordable
Smells nice
Perfect consistency
Moisturising on the lips (always ex-foliate before wearing lipsticks though or use a balm)

Cons
I had to re-apply this lipstick quite a few times throughout the day

Finish: semi matte & opaque

What Kate Said:
"Whilst I'll always have my favourite timeless shades, I love to update my lipstick to reflect the new season's style. I wanted to play with fresh and darling colour to create a look that's fun and feminine with an edge."

heres a picture of me wearing the lipstick :)
it's the perfect shade for everyday wear

Sleek Blusher - Flushed.

Now this blusher may look a little scary in the pan as it's quite a deep one, but once applied and blended in properly. It works a dream! This is a must have blusher in your collection.

Sleek are my favourite high street brand when it comes to blushers, bronzer's and their eyeshadows are pretty amazing too.
This blusher gives my NC30 skin tone a natural flush of colour (duuh, it's in the name). The pigmentation is super duper!
I do have to say that you need to make sure you apply it lightly, as I went in a little heavy handed the first time and ended up looking like a clown hehe. But when I attempted it again after dusting it off, it looked amazing and I've wore it everyday since. I prefer it to the Rose Gold one that everyone raves about.

I think this blusher would compliment so many skin tones too. If you haven't tried this already then I really do recommend it. The blush was only £4.99 from Superdrug too. Total bargain! I can't rave about it enough.

Have you tried this blusher before?
Which brand do you prefer when it comes to blushers?

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick - Nude Delight.

(Check out that French Bulldog Onesie)
If you've been following my blog for a while you'll probably already know that I'm a magpie when it comes to nude/peach lipsticks. Some would say I like to play it safe. So when I came across this Rimmel lipstick in boots the other week, I just had to purchase it.

When applying the lipstick it's as if it instantly melts on the lips, it's super pigmented and so moisturising. No one loves dry lips do they? It's one those lipstick's that you don't need to apply a gloss over the top. It's just perfect. Now the only thing I could fault is that it doesn't stay on the lips as long as others due to it been so moisturising, but I can cope with that as I'm forever reapplying my glosses. Rimmel say that this lipstick is like 'a hug for your lips' and I couldn't put it any better myself. So anyone who avoids wearing lipsticks due to having dry lips would find this range of lipsticks more suitable. I think it's a brilliant lipstick to wear during these colder seasons.

The lipstick retails at £6.49 and comes in 20 different shades, going from your nudes to really dark vampy shades. Basically there's a lipstick for everyone. 'Nude Delight' is a nude which is quite peachy so it look's super natural without washing you out. I reckon Kim K would love this one. Now if you were to ask me if I would purchase more of these lipsticks? I Definitely would! I really like the scent they have to them as well. I'm no good at describing scents, so I wont even attempt it haha.

I can't believe how close it is to Christmas! I'm so excited, although I was disappointed in myself for not picking up a beauty advent calendar. The Benefit one looks amazing! I only have around 7 presents left to buy, which is quite good considering how many people I have to buy for (the joys of having a humongous family). Well I hope everyone's alright and enjoying the countdown to Christmas.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC30

MAC Studio Fix Fluid is an oil free foundation that has medium-buildable coverage. The foundation is also said to last up to 8 hours without having to touch up, which sounds perfect right? (we all love our long wearing foundations). Now not only that, but it also contains some magical things such as micronized pigments, soft-focus powders that help create a smoother look and it also helps minimise the appearance of imperfections. SOLD.

After reading lots of great reviews about the foundation, I caved and purchased it! Yayyy.
Can you believe it's my first time trying this foundation? Where have I been? I feel quite ashamed of myself haha.
No, not really. I've always been satisfied with my L'Oreal foundations and it scares me a little trying out new ones. It didn't help that I'd previously purchased MAC studio sculpt and didn't get on with it at all. Which is really annoying! Especially when you're paying £20+ for them. I purchased my studio fix fluid online at www.maccosmetics.co.uk for £21.50 along with a few other items. So obviously it cost me a lot more, whoops!
I can't wait to try out the samples they have sent me. As I've heard so many good things about the prep and prime. It's always nice to try before you buy isn't it? Hehe.

Listed below are my thoughts about the foundation after trying it out.

pro's
The foundation stays put, which is brilliant as I haven't had to re-apply any of my foundation today.
The coverage is really good. I suffer with acne scaring/marks on my face from time to time and this foundation covers them really well.
Contains special-skin conditioning ingredients
Doesn't settle into any creases on the face.
It's oil free
Doesn't look cakey (that's with the right amount applied and blended in correctly)
Has SPF 15 in it.
A little goes a long way

con's
It comes with no pump, which makes it really hard to get out of the bottle.
It smells like play doh?!
It transfers at first so be careful.

Overall I'm really glad I purchased this foundation and I will definitely purchase it again. I'm a medium/full coverage type of girl and this one is perfect for me. So if you like something with lighter coverage, I doubt this one will work for you. Although it may be a bit too thick for me to use in the summer time. It will definitely be my 'winter and night out ' foundation. The only thing I wish they would change is the scent and of course the pump! Looks like I'll have to purchase one online. Grr. I wonder what foundation I'll try next time? Recommendations welcome.

Have you tried MAC Studio Fix Fluid?
And what is your holy grail foundation?
