Motel Rocks

Playsuit - Motel - £45.00
Watch - Topshop - £16.00

This post was suppose to be an OOTD kind of post, but I'm still getting use to my camera and my new tripod that came today - it's amazing! To cut a long story short. All my pictures ended up being out of focus apart from a few (how annoying!).

How cute is this happy cap playsuit that I purchased from Motel Rocks though? I absolutely love it and the mandala print is so pretty. I usually wear my playsuit throughout the day paired with tights, chunky boots and my thin black trench coat. I'm sure I'll get plenty of wear out of this one throughout the Summer as the material is really thin.

Anyway, I've decided I'm going to try and venture outside with my camera for more fashion posts. Scary! Any of you FBloggers that have any tips, please feel free to help me out! It's really nerve racking and there's not enough room in my bedroom to take the photos properly. I hope all is well with everyone anyway. I feel like everything has been non stop with me at the minute. Oh and I've just found out that I need glasses! I'll be picking them up at some point this week.

Maybelline - Eyestudio - Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.

Maybe it's Maybellineeeeee...

So last week I picked up a new gel eyeliner from Maybelline in the colour 01 intense black. Retailing at just £7.99, which I don't think is that bad at all to say how pretty the packaging is and the fact that a brush is included. Now I don't own that many products from Maybelline if I'm completely honest. Nothing usually pops out at me when I'm near their stand, but after trying this I will definitely be looking at more products from their range.

Applying the eyeliner was super easy! I don't know if it's the brush or just the consistency of the product. I've never been one to perfect the winged eyeliner look, but even the first time I applied it I had to look in the mirror again as it didn't look like my usual messy eyeliner and let me just say a little goes a long way. I was surprised at how pigmented the eyeliner was after just one swipe and at how quickly it dried after just being applied.

As you can see in the bottom picture the left swatch is applied really light and thin where as the right hand swatch is applied a little heavier.

Now I do tend to have oily eyelids which is really annoying *sigh* so I can be quite picky when it comes to eyeliners, but the staying power of this eyeliner is amazing! I've worn it everyday going from early starts to really late nights and there's not been a smudge in sight. I'm quite amazed! Now I know why it get's compared to the higher end gel eyeliners such as the one from Bobbi Brown.

Maybelline Lasting Gel Eyeliner is by far my favourite drug store eyeliner, there's not another eyeliner that comes close. So I'd just like to say thank you to some of the girls who recommended this product to me last week via Twitter. I seriously haven't had it off since.

What's your favourite eyeliner?
Do you prefer gel to pencil like me?

MAC - Fix +

Let me just start off by saying I will repurchase this until the day that I die. Woah! That was a bit heavy. Sorry haha! If I'm honest I'd never really heard or seen much about the MAC Fix + before. Maybe I've been living under a rock or maybe it's one of those products everybody loves and doesn't want to share with anybody else? Hmme.
I purchased this product in the travel size as I wasn't too sure if I was going to like it or not. The travel size bottle contains 30ml and costs just £6.00 or you can purchase the full size bottle that contains 100ml for £14.50. I don't think that's bad in price at all. Mine has barely budged and I've been using it everyday for about 2 weeks now. As you can see the top has two option one for locking, which is super handy and one for spraying - it does spray even.

How I use MAC Fix + (after applying my moisturiser).

  • Brighten and soften your face - at arms length I spray my face before applying my daily make up.
  • Thick foundations or concealers? - Use a bit of Fix + to dilute them down, which will make them easier to apply. I find this works great with the MAC pro longwear concealer. As you'll know it dries very quick and is hard to budge.
  • Set you make up and give it that dewy finish - by spraying again once you've applied all your make up. Don't you just hate that powdery finish some products have? This will add a dewy glow. Making you look super healthy.
  • Pack on loose shadows or pigments - spray your make up brush with Fix + before dipping into the pot and tapping off any excess before applying to your lid. You'll find that it makes the colours you use appear brighter too.
  • Keep it close by - pop the little beauty into your handbag and spray away as the day goes on. To make sure your face is looking super fresh and dewy as the hours pass by.

So as you can see you can use this little gem for all sorts. I will definitely be back to buy the full size bottle as soon as I run out. Have you tried Fix + yet? or anythign similar?

Lush - Tisty Toasty.

how frickin pretty?
this one fell into my basket. nah! just kidding... how could I resist this pretty little tisty toasty heart from lush?

the labelling is so cute as well. are you yet to find your perfect man? this bath bomb may give you your big shot - for all you big believers in such things such as spells anyway. on the packaging it states that the ballistic is 'a love spell' and asks you to fill the bath and then to get inside and hold your bath bomb in your hands whilst contemplating your chosen one. Lower into the water to unleash its powerful magic. Watch the seven rose buds emerge from the swirling potion and count your way to a budding romance.

I love anything like this.

I love spells, crystals, mermaids, unicorns. my dad would sat that I live in my own bubble. meh. POPS.
you'd love it.

so I popped the bath bomb into the bath and held it within both hands as I thought about that special one. no! I'm not telling. whilst watching the rose buds twirl as they were released from the magic potion. the room felt so peaceful and smelt so pretty.

a lot of people slated this bath bomb as it's 'boring' SHOCK. it's one of my favourites. I love anything girlie and pretty and the scent of roses in this is so beautiful and it really makes you feel all sloppy and emosh.

have you tried this bath ballistic?
what did you think?

Bourjois Poudre De Riz De Java - Java Rice Loose Powder.

This item was bought for me as a gift by one of my close friends
Bourjois Java Rice is a loose setting powder that also helps to illuminate and brighten up your face. When I first looked into the little pot I was a little put off by the colour and sparkle. As the powder has a pink tone to it and looks very glittery. I thought it would leave me looking like an ashy disco ball, but once swatched and tested I couldn't have been more wrong. I suppose you should never judge a book by it's cover after all. I haven't tried this powder all over my face, just under my eyes where I apply my concealer and it hasn't budged to be honest. Even after a couple of hours out on my bike!

I've never really been one for setting powders as I like a dewy kind of finish. I hate anything that makes my face look matte and bland.I love any kind of product that's going to luminize and keep my make up in place. So when I opened this little gift I was over the moon and couldn't wait to test it. If I were out shopping the packaging would definitely catch my eye right away. I love anything that is vintage looking and this look's super cute sat on my dressing table. They should definitely bring out more make up with this style of packaging.

You can purchase this item in most Superdrug or Boots stores for just £9.99. I'm sure you'd love this product if you're one for setting powders that is.

have you tried this product before?
what do you use to keep your make up in place?

Trilogy - Rosehip Oil

Do you suffer with scars? Then look no further!

Trilogy - Rosehip Oil (rosa canina - rosehip - seed oil) is an amazing organic oil that helps to reduce/fade scarring, stretch marks, blemishes, wrinkles and fine lines. You can also use this oil on skin that is looking for a little hydration. I was a little unsure to purchase this product as it's an oil and I have heard that oil's can block your pores and cause major breakouts. Now because I purchased this product to reduce scarring from spots/acne I was a little scared to apply just in case I did get any break outs. I'm always the same when trying out new skincare - nightmare!

I've been using this oil now for about 5 weeks and I've noticed a difference in my skin condition and scars. Going back 5 weeks - my skin had so many dark markings from spots that I'd picked and poked at (naughty. I know) and my skin has always look and dry in most places. I was very self concious about my skin without my foundation on. My foundation was kind of like my comfort blanket. It's silly that we feel this way, but it really does get you down. My skin is looking so much better already and I've only been using the product just over a month. My scars have faded so much. My sister pointed out to me when I was down Brighton that my scars are hardly noticeable any more, but I still feel like they are. I won't be happy until they've completely gone I don't think - women ayy! My skin is no where near as dry either, which I'm so happy about, There's nothing worse than a flakey face. YUK.  I feel a lot more confident about my skin than I did a few weeks back. One day I may post my before and after pictures, but for now I'll hold off. I have got to find my prince charming one day ha.

Directions
Remove all make-up and apply to a bare cleansed face
Apply 2-3 drops to the area
Gently rub into skin
It states to do this AM/PM - although I  just apply at night time
DO NOT apply to broken skin

Purchased from:
for just £13.50 as it was on offer at the time. It does usually cost £16.50 and that is for 20ml. There is free UK delivery with this website though. yay! we love a freebie, right?

Sorry to anyone that saw me purchase this product weeks back. I think it's important to hold back on blog posts when it comes to skincare as you need to give it a few weeks for the product to work and for your skin to get use to it. I once made the mistake of mentioning how good a product was (I'd used it 2 days) after that my skin was a complete mess. It's important to me that I give you an honest review in my eyes. I hope all is well anyway everyone and I hope you enjoyed today's post.

what's your favourite product to use for scarring or blemish prone skin?

Brighton - Lifestyle Post.

It's been a while since I've done any kind of lifestyle post hasn't it? As you may know (if you follow me via Twitter, Instagram etc.) I've been away from home this week as I've been down South to visit my sister and in laws to be (one day) she hopes haha. I've been everywhere... I feel like I've taken part in the bloody marathon that we watched earlier this week.

I think if I could choose somewhere to live in the UK I'd definitely go for Brighton. It's just so pretty and laid back. You see we don't have a beach back at home, which kind of sucks. You can't beat a stroll across the beach front on a warm day or on a Spring/Summer night, it completes me. How gay do I sound? ha! You know what I mean.

So I've been all over... From Sheffield to London, London to Brighton - where I did lots of shopping in the North Lanes. If you like vintage/quirky one off items you'll love it down there. Then I went back to London to have a good day out shopping. It rained the FULL day I was there. I looked like a drowned rat! No joke. I picked up some little treats in Selfridges though and was in my element in the M&M store. Then we went to Thorpe Park one of the days and I really enjoyed it. Probably one of the funniest days I've had in years. My sister was in tears on so many rides. The wuss! I'm such an adrenaline junkie! The closest theme park to me back home is Alton Towers. Have you ever been before? It;s just as good, but doesn't have a Stealth there unfortunately. I love that ride!
On Sunday me and my sister had walked a few miles down to the beach to the finish line to see some of the marathon runners. Who may I add had just ran 26.2 miles! Bloody bonkers if you ask me. When we decided to go and take a seat on the beach. You can't beat a bit of sea breeze. When we were sitting there these two men and their lovely partners had gone down to the sea to take pictures with their medals. When both men got down on one knee and proposed to the lovely girls shown in the pictures. I really did have a lump in my throat! (It takes a lot, I'm not very out there with my emotions) haha. I've never in my life witnessed a proposal! This was one of the cutest things my eyes have ever laid eyes on.

Can I just say if anyone is from the Brighton/London Southern area and has any idea who this is/could be that's featured in the pictures below. Please let me know! I'd love to forward on the pictures as I'm sure they would be very sentimental one day. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful.
Congratulations!

I hope that you enjoyed our little catch up. I'll make sure I get back to my usual posts as soon as possible. I don't want to bore you guys to death with my day to day life! Do I?

Bourjois - Shine Edition Lipstick - 1,2,3, Soleil.

I think have a lipstick addiction lately! I've bought so many as of recent. Every time I'm in one of my local drug stores... a lipstick just seems to appear within my hands. Maybe it's fate?

So here we have the Bourjois - Shine Edition Lipstick in 1,2,3, Soleil (shade 20). Which is a gorgeous coral shade, more on the red/coral side of colours. I seem to be swaying from my nude lipsticks ladies and gentle! Can you believe it? Nah! Me either.

Now there are rumours that the Bourjois Shine Edition lipstick range are often compared to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I can kind of agree with. The coverage is sheer, yet build able. So you can go from a light kind of tinted balm to a much more intense kind of lipstick, which may I add looks super glossy at all times. There is nothing worse than a drying lipstick that makes all your cracks and dry parts of your lips stand out! Obviously with the lipsticks being so balm like the longevity of the product won't last forever on the lips, but it is gorgeous for everyday wear. I think there will be a lot of people that love these lipsticks. Especially anyone that wears Vaseline etc. on there lips daily. It's kind of like a two in one - adds a tint to the lips and also keeps your lips hydrated throughout the day.

£7.99 - Boots or Superdrug store
