Maybelline Color Show - Burgundy Kiss.

(this picture was taken on the 5th day just to show you how good it still looked on the nails)

I'm loving my winter nails at the minute especially this 'Maybelline Color Show' nail polish in the shade Burgundy Kiss. It's like my favourite shade for winter time. I'm wanting some winter boots a similar shade to this. Has anyone seen any anywhere?

When I applied the first coat, I wasn't impressed what so ever. It looked really thin on the nail and it was quite hard to apply, I don't know if that was due to the brush being a bit floppy or the nail polish consistency. They didn't look the best after one coat, in fact they looked really tacky...

Then after applying the second coat they looked so much better and had a lovely shine to them. They did take a little longer than say a Rimmel nail polish to dry, but not that much longer.
I don't know about you but, I can never paint my nails without smudging! It really annoys me haha. When the nails are fully dry I just pop my hands into a bowl of warm water and the bits that have smudged onto your skin just peel off. It's so much easier than trying to remove with nail polish remover and a cotton bud. I always end up taking half my polish back off when I do that.

Now I'm not your typical girlie girl that goes and gets her nails done every month. If I do get them done it's for a special occasion (birthday, wedding etc.) So when I find a nail polish that doesn't chip after the first day, I'm amazed! The polish lasted on my nails for 5 full days without one single chip! Holy friggggggg. I've just reapplied the nail polish as I'm writing this to try it again. The polish is only £2.99 and you can purchase it from your local drugstore. I picked mine up in Boots when I went shopping last week.

Have you tried this nail polish before?
It's such a gorgeous shade <3

Lush - The Comforter

Believe it or not this is my first ever 'bubble bar', I didn't even know they existed in all honesty *hangs head in shame*. This one is called 'The Comforter' which I purchased from Lush Cosmetics. If you love pretty pink colours, sweet smelling scents and lots of bubbles, you will absolutely love this one!

What you do with the bar is break it up into chunky pieces, I think mine went into about 8 or 9 pieces, you can see an example in the picture above. Then you use one or two pieces (depending on how many bubbles you like in your bath) crumbled in your hand under a warm running tap to create the most amazing bubbles you'll ever lay eyes on. This bubble bar has a really pretty girly scent to it, it's smells like berries/blackcurrants and it's so long lasting on your skin.
This bubble bar did cost me £4.50, which is quite cheap when you think how many times you can use it.

What I love about Lush is the range of products that they have, basically they have something for everyone. I'll be purchasing more for my friends and family for Christmas as they do make great little Christmas gifts.

I went shopping with my sister and my little brother on Sunday and ended up buying another bag full of Lush goodies, whoops! I'm no good with these spending bans am I?! I swear that I jinx myself with stuff like that (any excuse) haha.
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend anyway. I've really enjoyed spending time with my family and my sister that came home from Brighton for a few days. I'll be lost later this evening when she goes home :( It won't be long till I see her again at Christmas though I suppose.

and this is the after math...
bubbles galore!
with a gorgeous candy floss pink tint to the bath water

Have you tried this Lush product before?
What's your favourite bubble bath at the minute?

Zombie School Girl.

ZOmBie SchOoL GirL

So here is a quick and easy look to create for Halloween. Although my niece still look's drop dead gorgeous! It's so strange to see them with make up on. I had to do both my nieces within half an hour and that was walking up to school included!
 *pat self on the back*

Base
L'Oreal Lumi primer applied all over the face.
Then did the same with white snazaroo face paint x2
& then applied white eyeshadow 'pillow talk' from Sleeks eyeshadow palette 'ultra matts v2' like a face powder all over the face, on top of the face paint.

Contour
cheek bones, down each side of the nose (applied with an eyeshadow brush) and jaw, on the top of the forehead with the eyeshadow 'thunder' which is a grey out of the same Sleek palette. Majority applied with a small blush brush.

Eyes
Applied 'maple' which is a cranberry shade from the same sleek palette with a small blush brush all over the socket and blended out around the eye.
Then applied MAC 'carbon' which is a deep black eyeshadow all over the lid and the outer corners with a blending brush.

Scratches/Markings
Same Sleek palette using 'maple' the cranberry colour again. Applied with a flat brush to make the scratches look sharp and then sweeped with my finger over the top to make a 'swollen' edge to them.

As you get older you tend to miss out on all the dressing up *arms folded/mardy face* so when I get the chance to have a play around, I jump at it!

Do you have any Halloween plans?
I'm taking all the little ones out trick or treating!

H&M boots and black skinnies! || night out || frenchie <3's lush i.d.s.t

Just a quick little post today... short & sweet (just like me)
*cringeeeee*

Let's be honest it wouldn't be a successful update without a gormy picture of myself thrown in there *hint hint* (top left hand picture). That's me and my 5 year old nephew being silly at bed time when I'm babysitting. He's such a sweetheart, but boys be warned I am NOT allowed a boyfriend haha!
I haven't done one of these in yonks! So I cant really name it a week in pictures #2 can I? Well that soon went out the window didn't it? haha!
So did I tell you that Autumn is one of my favourite seasons? I've been getting myself all prepared for it recently. Which means I'm going to have to share some of my new A/W purchases with you when I get chance to take some pictures. It's becoming a nightmare to get decent'ish pictures now that it's darker in a morning and earlier at night.
Recently I haven't been able to take off my black skinnies from Topshop and my black H&M boots that just seem to go with everything. They've become my comfort blanket. I'm also loving wearing all black at the moment! I'm in need of some grungy boots though, any ideas people? Something with a platform preferably. Need a bit of grip!
My tan seems to of faded so quickly after my holiday :( waaah.. why wasn't I born with a gorgeous skin colour? damn it!
I did use some St.Moriz tan last weekend before I went out round town with my sister (the little picture in the middle on the bottom) it made a right mess of my dry patches! I'll not be using that again. The dress I'm wearing in the picture is from Zara and its soooooo pretty :) Although my dad told me it looked like a nighty! men grr. & as you can see above I am totally hooked on Lush Cosmetics at the minute. Bath time has become my favourite part of the day (how sad) haha! I can't wait to try out my bubble bar later.

Are you loving Autumn so far?
Don't you just love cute little winter hats? I'm obsessed with them :o

Lush - Soot Ball.

When you looked at him, did you instantly fall in love?
It's those big eyes. What a cutie!

If you follow me on Instagram (@chanellejade) you'll know that I recently had a little Lush Cosmetics haul online. Now I usually 'dodge' the Lush shop when I'm out and about shopping as the scent is always too heavy for me, it doesn't really draw me in. So I decided to have a look online... well a few YouTube videos later, I had a basket full of their bath bombs and a couple of other bits and bobs too.

It seems that Lush have all kinds of different bath bombs to offer. Going from soft and gentle, to sex bombs, to ones filled with all kinds of exciting things. Ooo the excitement! This one is a new one added just for Halloween.

So the colour of this one may put quite a few people off, but look underneath the black coating there's black shining through him (reminds me of a crunchie). It kind of has a sweet/spicy scent to it, I'd say more spicy than sweet, but then it does have a scent of burnt caramel? Odd I know haha! It also includes olibanum which is known for its calming effect on the mind. Perfect for a Monday night, eyy? This bath bomb is quite a slow releaser and leaves you with nice golden glittery water.
Unfortunately this one isn't really for me :( I like my sweet/girly/candy scents and this just doesn't cut it. I was quite disappointed in all fairness as it didn't really impress me as much as the others that I've tried. The water wasn't as golden as I thought it would be and the smell was just a little off putting altogether. It's a shame though as he's such a cute little thing. But may I add that they have super fast delivery. I ordered mine on Monday at about 6/7pm and it was with me on Wednesday morning. Top service! and I really like that they stamp when the product was made, when to use by and who it were that put it together, it's kind of cute :)

this was the only picture I had of the water as my battery died, how annoying!
kind of looks like an egg yolk haha.

You can't really fault him for the price though at just £2.50. If you like spice rather than sweet in scents you'll probably like him.
If you wish to purchase a Soot Ball from Lush Cosmetics, they do have him available in store and online at www.lush.co.uk

Little bit of a different review today, did you like it?
What's your favourite Lush bath bomb?

Eyebrows Are Sisters NOT Twins

Always remember that title girls!
(Eyebrows are sisters NOT twins)

There's no fooling anyone here... I absolutely LOVE eyebrows!
They just compliment your face so much (so long as they're done right of course).

Now I always look at peoples eyebrows (especially in make-up tutorials). I just do not understand why people shave them off? They end up making them like an inch long?! Just so they can create those big magnificent eyebrows. Imagine how bad they look when you pull out a wet wipe?! Ouch!
I remember being in secondary school and the in thing were to pluck your brows to death. The thinner the better! Is it just me that looks back at school photos and cringes like mad?
Not only did I have super thin eyebrows.. I had my hair scrapped back with the two teeny tiny strands of hair coming down the front and I were the biggest tom boy known to man kind.
It's crazy how much you change once you leave school haha.
Whoops! A bit of a waffle there and totally gone off subject haha! Sorry lovelies back to tinting...

Ok so my natural hair colour is a really mucky blonde colour, which means my eyebrows aren't the darkest. Thank god for hair dye!
I like my brows to look a little darker, but not too dark for better definition & everyone wants to look good without their make-up right? (I can only dream) haha!

Take note
Before I start, please make sure you do a skin test 48 hours before applying this to your face. I know not many people follow by this rule, but it's a must! I once had an allergic reaction to hair dye that made my whole face swell up for days, I looked like the elephant man & I never want that to happen again.

Equipment
Tinting kit
Vaseline
Eye make-up remover
Cotton wool pads

Here's a step by step guide of how I tint my brows
(If you need to pluck your eyebrows before tinting make sure you do this 72 hours before applying the tint. You do not want to apply dye where there's any open pores or you can always pluck them after.)
1. Apply Vaseline to the places you don't want the dye to get.
Brows - Place around the eyebrow so that it can be wiped away easily. (If you haven't got the steadiest of hands.. this is a must! It does stain the skin).
Lashes - I put this above and below my eyelids where your mascara stains would tend to usually go in Summer. It only takes a look in the wrong direction to end up all over the place.
2. Mix together the dye and the developer that you will receive in the tinting pack, until it is a thick and creamy consistency. I usually place just short of 2cm of dye and about 8 drops of the developer.
3. Apply the dye to your brows and lashes. Be careful with those hands :)
4. Give it time to develop (10-15 minutes) Mine were a ten minute quickie and that was just for the eyebrows. When you tint your eyelashes you can leave it on for up to 30 minutes.
5. Wipe it all away, make sure you get it all off and WAH LAAAAAH!
What beautiful eyebrows & eyelashes you have my dear.

Here is a before shot of my eyebrows when I've not dyed them for weeks and weeks and then an after shot from a quick 10 minute tint.
This is the dark brown tint, sometimes I go for black if I want a more defined/bold eyebrow and obviously leave it on for a little bit longer.
& please excuse the bushy brows! I'm in the middle of growing them.

Some of my friends and family go for their eyebrows and eyelashes done at a salon, but if you want to save some extra pennies. I really do recommend this little box, you get so many applications out of it and it only cost me £4.99 or less from a body care store. Amazon is good for cheap tinting kits too. I'm all about saving.

Have you ever tinted your eyebrows before?
What do you use if so?

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss - Natural

So this is one of the NYX Cosmetics - Mega Shine lip glosses and I really do like it. The gloss just seems to glide onto the lips with the perfect shine to it. It doesn't feel too heavy or cakey either, which does put me off glosses sometimes. There's nothing worse than wearing your hair down and the wind blowing in your face with a sticky gloss. You end up looking like you've got mega hairy lips, put it that way!
I've been looking all over recently for a lip gloss that complimented my natural lip colour, something that didn't look too fake on the lips for an everyday look. Naturally my lips are quite dark and I don't like the colour what so ever, but it's time to embraced them! Eyy.. maybe this is the reason why I like my nude lips so much? Well, I've found the perfect one! I got this gloss in the shade 'Natural' and it's so, so pretty. You apply the gloss with the doe foot applicator, which may I point out makes this super easy. Then away you go.
The packaging of this gloss is very sturdy, sleek and cute (if you like bows) personally I would prefer the gloss without the bow on top, god there's no pleasing some of us ;) haha.
I can't believe how many people slate the smell of this lip-gloss. I actually really, really like it. To me it smells like cute little cherries. Did anyone have that doll when you were younger that you fed cherries to off of that green spoon? It smells just like that! Perfect scent for this time of year too. A lot of people compare it to the smell of cough syrup?! I wish my medicine tasted like this.

Overall, these little buggers are fabulous!
They stay on, they aren't stick,  lovely and creamy, inexpensive and come in so many beautiful shades. Have I sold it to you yet? haha. I know my last 3 posts have been about NYX Cosmetics, but this is the last one... until next time hehe!

If you'd like to purchase one of these, mine were only £4.00 in the NYX sale.
I got mine from the NYX website below.
www.nyxcosmeticsstore.co.uk

Hope you're all ok anyway boys & girls!
I'm so excited for Christmas, are you? I'm wanting to get my Christmas shopping finished ASAP, but I'm in need of a new camera so, so bad.... this = me selling my life on eBay D: and putting myself on a spending ban. I just don't think I can do it.

NYX Butter Goss - Maple Blondie

I thought it looked quite thin when I swatched it on my arm, I was wrong.

So I've seen this little gem popping up here, there and everywhere lately. So I just had to try it out! YES, it's another pink gloss! Can you believe it? I think I've turned to the girl side :o
As everyone speaks very highly of butter butter glosses, I just needed to try one out. So I decided to play it safe and go with a recommended colour. Now this looked like quite a popular shade when I looked into it.That's when I picked Maple Blondie as it looked like a nice natural pinky colour on the swatches (on Google) although the swatches online are quite good under this category. It's kind of like a candy pink? When applied it goes on quite sheer, which can be applied lightly or built up for a brighter look. It's very wearable for a day time look and it also look's really nice layered over lipsticks as well.
What I like about NYX butter gloss is that they don't dry your lips out WHAT SO EVER, if anything they moisturise them. It's as if it's a gloss that has the same effects as a balm?
If that makes any sense haha! They just seem to melt into your lips, I can't wait to pick up some more of these in different shades.
When I were looking through the names of the butter glosses, they all had really cute kind of like dessert names? It's bizarre because the lip gloss itself smells sweet like a cake or something.
So you can get these in 12 different shades, which go from nude/pink to red and they are only retailed at £5.00 a tube.

Here is what the gloss looks like when on my lips with nothing else applied to them.
How gorgeous is this colour on? I'm in love!!!

NYX Cosmetics do not test their products on animals, which you will have seen me rave about on my previous NYX review.

Have you tried on of their butter glosses before?
What's your holy grail lipgloss?

NYX Pump It Up Lip Plumper - Kim.

One guess at who this nude pump it up lip plumper is named after?
That's right! Our gorgeous Kim K, who is thee queen of nude lips
I wonder what she uses..hmmeeeeee.

The shade of this gloss is a light nude with orange/peachy tones, it is quite light but doesn't look scary looking on the lips or anything. As you do have to be quite careful with nudes as they can wash you out and look a little creepy! There's not really a scent to this lipgloss. I usally like mine to have a fruity scent to it, but i'm glad its not got that god awful chocolate smell to it (that is THEE worse).
Now the weird side to the lip gloss.. the plumping effect! It isn't actually too bad. I wouldn't say it's really noticeable, but I can tell when I look in the mirror. Some of the similar lip plumper's by other brands, I just can't wear as they irritate me. So if you suffer with chapped lips or anything like that then I highly doubt this will be the lipgloss for you.
I really like the packaging, design and labelling of this lipgloss with the injection on it, it's different but that's probably why I like it. Some people might think that it looks cheap or tacky, but I like it and that's all that matters. When I pulled the wand out of the tube I thought it looked quite sticky, but it's surprisingly not. It's really, really smooth and theres no stick to it at all. The only thing that would be better would be the wand size. If it were that little bit bigger, it would be perfect! As I find myself dipping in the bottle more than I usually do with this one.
So overall I really like the lip gloss :) You know me and my nudes hardly dislike one another.
Would I re-purchase this lipgloss? Yes I will! Although I don't think that will be for a while. As you do get quite a lot of product in them.

here is the lip plumper applied to my bare lips.

And to anyone that supports products that are cruelty free, you'll be totally fine with NYX as they do not test any of their products on animals, Yayyyy! :) The more I look into NYX Cosmetics the more and more I like them as a whole. As I've been looking into animal testing quite a lot recently I were so shocked to see that some of my all time favourites test on animals :(
For anyone that knows me or follows me via Instagram you'll know how much I love animals, so this really upsets me that they can even do this.

Have you tried any of the 'Pump it up' lip plumpers?
What's your favourite lipgloss for a natural everyday look?

NYX Round Lipstick in Iconic

I have no idea why this top picture has made the lipstick look like it's a berry shade

NYX Cosmetics
LSS Round lipstick in 'Iconic'
& the Slim lip pencil in 'Nude Pink'.

So I finally made my first order with NYX, yayyyy!
& I'm over the moon with my new little purchases (yes there's more).
Which means you'll have to come back and have a little nosey to see what else I picked up.

So I decided to try one of the famous 'Round Lipsticks' & YES that is a pink lipstick that I now own :o I cant believe it either.

Iconic & Nude Pink
here is a swatch of the lipstick & liner when applied to my lips.

First of all I have to tell you all how shocked I were when I first applied the lipstick to my lips. It is the most moisturising lipstick that I own and I instantly fell in love. It is AMAZING! The LSS Round lipsticks are a mineral-based emollient formula , which offers a beautiful velvet texture and a gorgeous colour pay off. Especially for the price I only ended up paying £2.50 for this lipstick. Reduced from £4.00 in their sale online. Everyone loves a bargain! What better way to test lipstick shades though? Can't say no with that price & there's 144 shades to choose from.

The shade itself is a pretty rose-nude with a touch of mauve, it's so pretty and subtle for an everyday look. I bet it look's lovely paired with some smoky eyes as well for when you're off to paint the town red. I never really got that saying, so I don't even know why I've just wrote it haha.
I'll definitely be going back for some more, you can never have enough lipsticks girls and boys :)
I wanted to buy 'Tea Rose', but it were out of stock, waaah.

As you can see the NYX slim lip liner is a must have for a natural nude shade looking lip with a slightly pink hue. So it is a perfect match for this lipstick and any other nude/natural lipstick that you may own. I really do rate these lip liners. They are easy to apply, blend able and so smooth on the lips. For just £3.50 you can't grumble. There's also lots & lots of shades to choose from with these too.

The only negatives about the lipstick is that it doesn't stay put, but I wouldn't really expect something not to budge when it's that moisturising on the lips. Then the finally point I have to make is RESEARCH the shade you're looking at buying as the swatches online are completely different to the lipstick shade. The best thing to do is to type in the name of the shade into Google e.g. Iconic swatches to show you the real shade that it is.

Have you tried the round lipsticks?
What's your favourite shade to wear?

Rimmel London - Rapid Ruby

When the colder season's come in I like to wear a lot of darker shades on my nails such as deep reds, purples, browns, greens, midnight blues and black. It's just nice to tone it down after the Summer too.
The nail polish is by Rimmel and is one of their 60seconds polishes in the colour 320 'Rapid Red'. Personally I think they could of given it a better name, but hey ho! It's a deep shade of red kind of like a true blood red if you know what I mean?
Quite lot of people say that it's an exact dupe of the colour by Chanel - 'Rouge Fatal', but I don't own this shade to give you my own opinion I'm afraid. If that's the case though it's a hell of a lot cheaper at just £3.69 a bottle for 8ml. Usually on 2 for £5.00 in Boots as well.
With an easy and quick application, how can you fault it?

Pro's
  • Gorgeous shade
  • Easy application
  • Dries really quick
  • Cheap as chips to buy
Con's
  • I hadn't had this bottle that many months and it decided to go gloopy. I've never experienced this before with any of my Rimmel nail polishes. So I'm going to put it down to a dud bottle and see how I get on with my next one.
  • It's not that long lasting, especially without base & top coat. (This could be due to me chipping them typing on the keyboard though).

But it's so cheap and such a gorgeous shade that I don't mind a tiny bit of disappointment.
There's some gorgeous Revlon and Essie colours in at the moment too. I think that's what I need to have a splurge on next time.

What's your favourite A/W nail polish?
What nail polish brand is your favourite?
If I were to answer that one it would have to be a toss up between China Glaze, Nails Inc. & Essie.
Oh & I apologise for the fuzzy phone picture too.

MAC; Naked Lunch, Woodwinked & Charcoal Brown

Oot Ohh!
I've been ordering from that dreading place called MAC again, oops.
I did need some more seen as though I don't have many & I really enjoyed my last purchase, it kinder brought me back for more.
What I need next is one of their refill palettes. Seen as though the collection is finally starting to grow, yippee!
I've not included a make-up look with these shadows in this post, as I thought I could save that for another day.

Naked Lunch
What type of eyeshadow finish is it? Frost
What shade is it? To me it's a peachy, champagne colour
Would you purchase it again? Definitely!

When I wear this eyeshadow I feel like it makes my eyes look more awake if you get me and I have to have a second glance in the mirror when I walk past. That made me cringe typing that haha! I meant at the eyeshadow itself and not at me of course.

'Naked Lunch' looks so pretty when applied all over the lid of the eye, it applies a light amount of colour and shimmer. You can probably tell in the swatches included in this post.

Woodwinked
What type of eyeshadow finish is it? Velvet pearl
What shade is it? Medium bronze with a mild orange undertone
Would you purchase it again? yes, yes, yes!

I like to pair 'Woodwinked' with a vanilla, or yellow based light shadow. That's if I'm not wearing it all over the lid. Mind you I always change how I wear this one, like today I'm wearing 'Naked Lunch' with 'Woodwinked' blended into the crease.

Charcoal Brown
What type of eyeshadow finish is it? matte
What shade is it? A beautiful matte brown ashy colour
Would you purchase it again? couldn't live without it... so that's a yes!

I use this eyeshadow mostly to fill in my eyebrows, it works like a dream. It's the perfect colour for my brows. Previous to this shadow I were using a Rimmel eyebrow pencil, but I felt like it made my eyebrows appear to harsh (like slugs had been drawn on my face). This shadow when applied with a flat brush makes them appear more natural. It also works beautifully as a crease colour, you can build it up to get a darker effect for a more smoky eye look.

Overall I am really happy with my new MAC eyeshadows and the last one's I posted about too. They are all must haves to me and I will repurchase if I ever hit pan (which I hope that's not for a while). I think I've built up some kind of addiction to MAC over the last few weeks. I've already got some more shadows waiting in my favourites/basket ready for my next purchase. I also really like the look of the MAC paint pots, but I haven't tried any before. Are they as good as every makes out to be?

Now I'm in need of some neutral matte eyeshadows as I don't have many in my little collection.
You know for those days where you don't want to wear anything shimmery and you want to tone it down a tad. Matte's always look nice on a your vintage inspired make-up looks too, so I'm desperately after some.
Does anyone know of any must have MAC matte eyeshadows?
Let me know in the comments below please dolls, thank you <3

The questions I answered about each eyeshadow are my own opinion.
You may think different to me, but I go by what colour or shade the eyeshadow is through my own eyes and on my own skin.

Crown Brush Review

 Crown Brush
So I've finally got my hands on some Crown Brushes... Yayyy!
As I've purchased a lot of new eyeshadows recently (yes, I have some more coming up this week).
I realised that I were desperately in need of some new eye make-up brushes, as I hadn't treated myself to any in so long. Now as I was doing a little look into some bloggers favourite brushes, I noticed a lot of you had mentioned 'Crown Brush' and I've heard really good things about them over the last few months and how they had some really good MAC dupes.

So I thought I'd purchase 3 brushes to test them out :)
and this is what I chose...

 C433 Pro Blending Fluff

The 'C433 - Pro Blending Fluff' is well known for been the 'MAC - 217' dupe.
Let me just say girls it's one for your make-up jar!
The brush itself is made out of white goats hair, which means you can use it with powders and creams without damaging it, woohoo! It's perfect for blending and applying eyeshadow. The brush also has a tapered tip, which is a bonus when contouring smaller places of the face, like the nose for example.
Quite a few people have mentioned using this for applying their concealer as well, I'll have to give it a whirl and see how I get on.

This brush was just £6.09 and this is so cheap compared to MAC - 217 which is £18.00.

C441 Pro Blending Crease

The 'C441 - Pro Blending Crease' is also made out of white goats hair, which means you can also use this with powder and cream products. When I first looked at the brush I thought hmm.. how am I going to use that? did your mum ever tell you 'don't judge a book by it's cover?' Exactly! I haven't stopped playing with it since opening it. As it has a longer brush tip to it, it's perfect for getting in the crease of the eye and blending out that shadow.

This brush was just £3.99 an absolute steal!

C431 Precision Pencil

And this little gem is well known for been the '219 - MAC' dupe. I've been after a good precision pencil brush for so long and couldn't bring myself to pay silly prices for one. Seen as though I've never had one or used one before. You never know how you're going to get on with a new brush, right?
The brush itself is used for precision shading on the lid, in the eye crease or along your lash line. These brushes create great smoky eyes, especially with a bit of eyeliner.
I like to use this brush to apply my highlighter or eyeshadow to the inner corner of my eyes too, as it's just the right size.

I can't believe this brush was only £4.39 as well and the one from MAC is £20.00.

I really like about them is the packaging. The white hairs, black handle and silver ferrule makes them look expensive, clean & classy.
Overall I really like my Crown Brush brushes and I can't believe the quality of them for the price.

What's your favourite Crown Brush?
or what's your favourite make-up brush brand?

I cannot compare any the of the brushes mentioned to the MAC dupes that have also been mentioned. Due to not owning any MAC brushes, as I can't justify spending £20.00 on one make-up brush at the moment. This is going by other peoples reviews of these being MAC dupes.

Aussie; Shampoo, Deep Conditioner, Deep Treatment

Hair talk...
This is going to be a bit of a rant as it is quite upsetting (for me haha).
Over the last few years I've probably experienced every bad thing that could possibly happen, believe it or not. From allergic reactions (my head been swollen with loads of fluid) to my hair falling out.
I think it were March last year when I had to have all my hair cut off :( It was down my back and platinum blonde previously. Silly little me had some extensions put it for my birthday and they ruined my hair, as my hair was too weak to carry them, but I didn't realise this until I took them out and had no hair left! I had to have it all cut off to my shoulders, well what was left off it and had to get rid of the blonde hair that i'd supported for years. That was me 'oh yeah her with the bright blonde hair', I remember crying over a pizza about it and my dad went out and bought me a hair dye, bless him.
So I dyed it red and it was cut shorted than my shoulders. Then I went every colour under the sun from red to purple to blue to brown to black to ginger and now I'm my natural mucky blonde with highlights. My hair still doesn't feel great and I probably need another 2 inch cutting off it for all the bad to be completely rid of, but I hate having my hair cut!

So what I want to do now is find the miracle solution to get help my hair grow and get thicker.
Does anyone know of anything that's good?
I know your diet is a main part of this, but there are things that can help it happen faster. I just don't know of many haha!

So anyone that knows me will know how much I LOVE Aussie shampoo & how much I go on about the smell of it. If only they made a perfume or body lotion that smelt the exact same.
I always enjoy reading what other people use on their hair, as I'm always open to try new things.

Aussie - Aussome volume shampoo 300 ml
This shampoo is made to give you that extra va va voom (volume) and is aimed at people with fine/limp hair. I put myself under that category when my hair is damaged and I do seem to have fine hair, but lots of it. I don't really buy this product for the effect on it though, its just the smell of this shampoo is amazing! I do notice that my hair is left feeling light and bouncy when I use this, more so if I blow dry it too.

Aussie - 3 minute miracle reconstructure/deep conditioner 250 ml
Now when I repurchased this recently after having a break from Aussie for a few months. I were so happy to smell the scent of the product, as it is now the same as the 'Aussie - Aussome volume shampoo'. I had to have a little break from Aussie hair products, as just like my face with skincare, my hair gets use to the same products when I use them over and over, so I have to have a little change every now and then. Now you leave this conditioner on for 3 minutes for the full effect, which to be is brilliant for when I'm in a rush and haven't got time to sit and wait an hour for it to work.

What I like about this deep conditioner is
  • Obviously the smell of the product (sorry if I've mentioned this over and over, I can't rate it enough) haha.
  • It doesn't weigh your hair down like a lot of deep conditioners tend to do.
  • Leaves my hair feeling super soft, moisturised and shiny.
  • My hair seems to be stronger when I use it.
  • The packaging is fabulous! If your like me and hate opening bottle lids in the bath you'll love this. You just squeeze them and it comes out of the bottom, you don't end up wasting product either :)

Aussie - 3 minute miracle colour mate/deep treatment 250 ml
Now this one is aimed more at people with coloured hair, as I've got highlights I'll give any conditioner/deep treatment a go. It was my first time trying this one as I haven't noticed the 'colour mate deep treatment before' I usually pick the one above, but when it's on offer you can't not try something new. Now this one smells a little different to the others it's more of a peachy scent, which I don't mind as it's quite cute. I found that this conditioner made my hair feel nice and not as dry, but nothing spectacular. I prefer the other conditioner to this one.

I got these 3 on offer at a Boots drugstore for 3 for £10, but if you have a look about you can drop on with good deals. I know my sister gets hers from B&M for cheap as chips too.

Now that's the stuff I like to apply when I'm having a bath/shower. I also have two favourites that I like to apply after I've shampooed/conditioned my hair and that's these little gems below.

Samy - Fat hair "0" calories thickening crème 155 ml
This stuff is amazing! I don't apply this every time I wash my hair. I apply it before I'm going out or when I know I'm going to wear my hair down. It really does make your hair feel so much thicker. All you have to do is squeeze a little into your hand and rub through your hair from roots to the ends. It's so quick to apply and doesn't really have a strong scent to it, just a light one that smells like fruit salad chewits?
If you have this already or you've got your eyes set on  purchasing it, word of warning - don't apply to much other wise it will weigh your hair down and make it feel really heavy.
I bought this from Superdrug when it was on offer ages ago and can't remember the price I paid. It is retailed at £5.99.

Moroccan oil 25 ml
You all probably know how good this little gem is, as it's raved about in the blogging world quite a lot and it get's a lot of good reviews. It's just a must have hair product! MY MUST HAVE HAIR PRODUCT. If you were to ask me to choose between a good conditioner or this.. I'd have to choose this. I apply about half the size of a 5p coin to my damp hair after towel drying my hair and rub it into the ends of my hair. It has a gorgeous coconut scent to the oil and makes your hair so soft & shiny.
I got mine off of eBay for about £12/£13 and when I received it I though my god that's tiny for the price, but it's lasted me about 6 months and that's applying it every single time I wash my hair. I've still got just under half of it left as well, such a good investment.

Have you tried any of these products before?
What's your holy grail hair treatment?

MAC; Coppering & All That Glitters

Hello pretties :)
Nice and short one today...

So I thought I'd show you a snippet of two of my new MAC eyeshadows. I know you've already seen them in their pans, but I wanted to show you what they looked like when applied to the lids.

Picture to the left hand side is MAC 'All That Glitters' all over the lid, with MAC 'Coppering' blended into the crease of the eye.

Picture to the left hand side is MAC 'All That Glitters' as an all over base colour on it's own, I wanted to show you how pretty it were alone, never mind blended in with another colour.

Both the pictures have Mary-Lou Manizer in the inner corners of my eyes. I don't know what I'd do without this little gem, I use it everyday.

These pictures seem a little harsh, probably not the best but I couldn't find the perfect lighting. Sorry to all of you for getting to view my lovely little milk spots haha! The eyeshadows and my face wasn't that shimmery when I looked in the mirror, more subtle honestly ha.
Oh and I've got no lippy on!

Have you tried any of the MAC eyeshadows before?
What's your favourite for everyday wear?
