Real Techniques.

Blush and Shading Brush

I got these two brushes from Boots online with the buy one get second half price offer.
So I've added two more Real Techniques brushes to my collection, yayyyy!
It's finally getting bigger and becoming more useful.
* little victory dance *

I decided to purchase The Blush brush which is retailed at £9.99. As I've been in need of a new blusher brush for quite some time now. My old one became very stiff and yucky after months and months of use and everyday wear. I suppose it was just knackered!
Now I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on this brush particular around the size of it. I find it the perfect size as its quite pointed, but it's tapered at the top so you don't ever apply too much product. When I've used this recently I've been told that my bronzer or blush looks flawless. Woooo! Everyone loves a compliment from time to time :)
So you can use it for powder, bronzer or blusher which is a bonus. Although I haven't tried to contour with it yet as I find the Benefit brush my favourite at the minute for that. You know the one you get in your little box of blush/bronzer?

I also purchased The Shading brush which is retailed at £7.99. I lost quite a lot of my eyeshadow brushes I don't know how or where but they have gone :( So I'm slowly trying to bring them back but also upgrading them as my old ones weren't the greatest either. I already have this amazing brush that I use for blending and I don't know the make or where I got it from and its slowly falling to pieces. Hate it when things like that happen. It's always that item that you can't remember where you purchased it as it's too old or the names rubbed off it. Anyway this one is perfect size to apply eyeshadow all over the lid, in the crease, the outer V of your eye and close to the lash line. You can use it to blend as it's quite soft and make's blending really easy.

My next brush purchase is going to be the Mac 217 seen as though everyone and their nan and their nan's cat's have it. Especially on YouTube it seems to be everyone's holy grail eyeshadow brush.

I find the Real Techniques brushes are easily to clean which I do twice a week they clean up easy and dry quite quick compared to other brushes I've used before. Being able to use powder or cream products with these brushes is brilliant too.

Have you tried these two brushes?

MUA Pro Base Eye Primer - Review.

Make Up Academy - Pro Base - Eye Primer

Everyone hates it when they go out the house looking/feeling fab and then a few hours later they look at themselves in the mirror... to find the make-up they applied this morning appears to have disappeared.
I am always on the look out for new products to try out which may help my make-up stay put for longer.
When I noticed this MUA eye primer for a bargain price of £2.50 for 7.5ml, how can you not try it out for that price?
I thought that the packaging is quite sturdy but look's a little bit cheap. To apply the eye primer the product comes with a wand to apply (kind of like the collection concealer) we all know what that looks like don't we? When applying it does look like a concealer but blends in quite well and absorbs quite fast as well.
I applied one eye without the product and one eye with it. I found that the primer gave my eyeshadow a bit more of a pop! So the eyeshadow looked more vibrant than usual. but I didn't think it made my eyeshadow stay put any longer than it usually does.

So all in all really I don't feel like I rate this product that much but I'm going to try it for a full week as I feel like I had a bad make-up day yesterday when trying this out.

Have you tried this product before?
Is there any good eye primers out there?

Mary-Lou Manizer aka 'The Luminizer'

The Balm - Mary Lou Manizer
I've finally got my hands on it... yaaaayyyy!

This is my first cosmetic that I've purchased from the brand 'The Balm' I've heard so many good reviews about them and this particular product in particular. Especially on YouTube a lot of beauty Tuber's swear by this stuff and I always see it being used in most of their videos uploaded.
So 'Mary-Lou Manizer' is a highlighter, shimmer and eyeshadow.
The MUA highlighter I have tends to appear a bit silvery resulting in my cheeks looking a bit grey? Not the best look! I find this highlighter a champagne colour that has a golden sheen to it so it's so much better. It adds a golden glow to the skin. I don't think I'll hit pan on this one for a very long time as a little goes a long way. It's so silky and easy to apply. I use this on my cheek's, cupid's bow, bridge of my nose, inner corner of my eyes and under my brows. Just sprinkle a bit of it everywhere!

I purchased mine online from
£12.00 as it was on sale with free delivery.

Have you tried this product before?
Or do you own anything from 'The Balm'?

A week in pictures. #1

Starting my brush collection ||  Amazing book's by Paige Toon || My little Dorothy.

Selfie before the dogs  || Pamper night || Breaking Bad

Fergie || View coming back from family meal || Recent post/purchase

So I thought I'd start sharing a weekly post in picture's as I always enjoy reading these kind of post's that Blogger's share with us all. Call me nosey if you like!

I haven't really done that much this week, I've been busy with work. I've had two day's off in a row though, yesterday and today. So I'm being really lazy as it doesn't happen often.

So as you can see I've started my brush collection mainly going for Real Techniques brushes (I've just ordered two more). The little pot I've got them holding in was 50p from a Next sale, bargain!
I've just finished reading Chasing Daisy by Paige Toon! I honestly didn't want this book to finish when the last 20 page's were creeping up quick :( I were quite sad. I think I've felt this way with every one of her book's. Have you read any? Here's mine in order anyway. I'm reading Pictures of Lily at the moment.
Look at my little Dorothy ha ha! She always does this face and shows us all her teeth :/  and my little Fergie lower down ahh she's so adorable.
Quick Selfie before going to the dog's with the girls for my friend's birthday, we went round Sheffield after. I didn't look like this the next morning though! Let's say I had a few too many Vodka's. It was a good night :) Although I didn't win anything I bet on. I've had some more blonde highlights put in my hair, it's growing on me slowly.
I started watching Breaking Bad yesterday and I'm hooked! I thought I wasn't going to be able to get into it at first. Thank god for Netflix!

what a wonderful life.

Hola cheekies!
Just a few little purchases to share with you, mainly Primark.
I hate it when people turn their nose up at Primark and refuse to go inside. I don't know how people can slate a good old Primark bargain! Near enough every time someone tells me how nice my clothes are or that I look nice. Guaranteed I'm always wearing something from Primani.
I thought these little bits would be just ok for casual every day wear. I'm never bothered about damaging my clothes and can relax a bit more when they're cheaper. Especially with being surrounded by dogs and kids. Such messy buggers!

These pictures aren't the greatest & I don't know why I look so orange against this pale blue wall in my room ha ha! Oh and sorry about my messy hair, baby hair galore! I couldn't be bothered to do my hair today, having a major lazy day.

Alrighty then! (Jim Carrey voice)
Top left hand corner:
Primark
Black dress with cream flowers/polkadots
£5.00

Top right hand corner:
Asos
Black mesh dress
£25.00

Bottom left hand corner:
Both Primark
Top - £5.00
Leggings - £7.00

Bottom right hand corner:
Primark
Green and cream dress
£8.00

I also got a really big chunky black cardigan for a tenner! And some new brogues as my others got wet and then they made my feet stink and my dad threw them away. You know that one pair of shoes you wear over and over that are so comfy? Yep! He threw them away :(
I also picked up some other bits and pieces but I'll do some other blog posts about them.

Sleek - Face Form

Sleek - Face Form
Contouring and blush palette

So those of you who read my blog will know that in my recent haul my new Sleek blusher was broken!
*tut tut*
Well I went into Superdrug today and came across this palette which included the Rose Gold blush... Yippee!
I obviously had to open it in store to make sure it was all in tack (naughty me).
I'm trying to get into contouring which involves me watching and reading so many YouTube channels/Beauty blogs. I'm kind of getting the hang of it now though, halleluiah!
Everyone loves the Sleek design as it's quite similar to NARS. Fingers crossed mine stays in place this time though! Watch out for the fingerprints on the casing though. I'm not that OCD but for those of you that are. It marks easily!
So in this palette you get a highlighter, blush and bronzer. Quite alright for us starters I'd say. I went for this in Light 373 pretty much because it had the blusher in ha ha. Everyone knows how amazing the blusher is I don't think I'll need to go into too much detail it's a rosy blush with gold undertones and it's THEE BEST. The bronzer is quite surprisingly nice as well I thought it might be too light for my skin tone but it's not and it's buildable too. The highlighter is such a nice shade it's quite light with a hint of peach to it, not much but just enough :)
This product was only £10.00
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Am I happy with my purchase? 100%

Do you own any of the Sleek palettes? Or have you already got your hands on this one?
Let me know what you think.
Also wondering what brushes would be good to go with this palette?

Too many questions! I'll shut up now :D

drugstore haul.

Teeny tiny Superdrug haul

Sleek Blusher - Rose Gold
I was soooo upset to open this and see that the powder had broken. It's such a nice colour and by far my favourite blusher I've ever used. This one is said to be a dupe of NARS - Orgasmic. I would recommend to try this one before buying an expensive one as it's really good for the price.
Bargain at just £4.49 they do them in 10 shades if this one's not really your cup of tea, check out the rest of them.

Real Techniques - Expert face brush
Possibly my favourite Real Techniques Brush! I can't believe how much of a difference it makes.
This is my favourite item of the haul as well, so so glad that I purchased this one Its used for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation. I'm finally adding to my brush collection.. Yippee! Which one shall I get next? I already have the Travel Kit.
£8.99

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour - Eternal Gold
Again I'm late getting this little gem, seen so many posts about them and how good they are. I was quite surprised by how much they don't budge and don't gather in the crease of the eye.
Just £4.99 there's an offer on Superdrug at the minute with 3 for 2 on certain Maybelline products.
They also have these in other colours too and are really pigmented. They just glide on and are easy to blend too. Have you tried any of these before?

Collection 2000 Concealer Lasting Perfection Wand - Light
I've never really been a big lover of concealer as I don't think they work all that well, but this one is amazing! It last's all day too. I will definitely re-purchasing when it runs out.
£3.99

Rimmel Powder Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Transparent
Really, really like this pressed powder it's good to control natural shine and last's a good few hours before having to touch it up. I've been using all of these products ever since receiving them on Saturday.
£3.99

How pretty is this colour?
Well I think this one was a cheap but successful haul, I can't stop using everything.
What to buy next time? Hmm....

L'Oreal - Lash Architect

L'Oreal - Lash Architect
Midnight Black

This is my all time favourite mascara!
I've tried soooooo many different mascara's and not one of them has ever been a patch on this one.
If you like your lashes super small and fine then this is probably not for you.
Defines the lashes, adds length, thickens and lengthens! All that in just one tube.. how lucky?
You can get this mascara from most drugstore's I usually get mine in Superdrug as L'Oreal is usually on at 3 for 2 in there.
(you have a reason to spend a little bit extra too)

This is what the mascara looks like with just 1 coat applied, for thicker lashes apply 2 coats. I wouldn't recommend adding anymore than that as it will just look too clumpy.

You cam buy this for just £10.29

Have you ever tried this mascara?

revlon - nearly naked.

So I recently purchased the Revlon - Nearly Naked liquid foundation.
I got the product from a Boot's drugstore for just £8.99
In shade - 170 natural beige.

So I decided to try out this foundation as a lot of beauty bloggers had raved about this foundation and was comparing it to the NARS - Sheer Glow. As I've been unhappy with the foundation I've been using recently I thought ahh what the heck. I'll never be happy if I don't try out some new ones.

I'm a girl that LOVES/NEEDS full coverage!
This foundation so a light/medium coverage in my eyes.
When I get spots (pimples) I easily scar or receive darker blemishes on my skin from them. So I need something that's going to cover up those horrible marks.

This was a disappointment to see there was no pump on the foundation. I find these kind of foundation's really messy and you waste so much of the product when it accidentally fall's out.

Here's a swatch above of the foundation and then to the left hand side of the blob is the foundation blended in.
This foundation doesn't suit me at all. It matches my skin tone but I think I should of looked further into the product before buying it. I would recommend this product to someone who has clear skin or very little blemishes and discolouration on their face. As it is really light and does look 'NEARLY NAKED' I don't know why I didn't realise this, especially with the name haha!

Have you tried this product? I've heard really good reviews about the Revlon - Wake me up foundation too, has anyone tried it?
What do you use that has full coverage? I'm using the L'Oreal Infallible at the moment but I picked up the wrong shade, the coverage is brilliant and feel's really light on your face.

collection.

Ok so I've been looking for a bronzer which is really shimmery.
For the odd occasion when my skins really clear & I'm all tanned.
When I came across 'Collection - Mosaic Glow' I purchased it straight away from Amazon for just £2.99. Can't really complain can at that price, can you?

Look how highly pigmented the bronzer is.
It is sooooo good!
You do only need a little bit on your brush
blow/tap off any access, don't want to look like one of those umpa lumpa's!
I think this will look so nice when you've got a tan or done your weekly sneaky fake tan.
Add a dash across your collar bone & up your pins for a super 'glow' look.

Here's a little swatch below

Now that I'm pleased with a shimmery bronzer.
I'm onto the next mission to find a nice matte bronzer... Now it seems that most people recommend the 'Benefit - Hoola Bronzer' as it's perfect to contour. (Yes I'm finally learning how to contour)
Got to get down with kids haven't you ha ha!

Any other recommendations? Or is this THE one? :)

I'm currently sat writing this post with my streaking cap on
*suuuuper sexy*
naaaaaaht
Adding more blondes/caramels to my hair.. Can never leave it be!
Hoping it turns out ok.. Fingers crossed!

Hope you're all having a loving week anyway!

Tag - The One and Only.

I love these kind of post's!
So a big thank you to one of my favourite Blogger's! Jessie at allthingsbeautiful-x who tagged me in this great post.
Where I can share my must have beauty item's.
If you don't already follow Jessie... Go and check out her blog!

This tag is the The One and Only tag where you have to share your holy grail make up products.

The Question: If you could only have one ____ what would it be? And, why?

Primer - I don't actually use a primer :O and I never have. Would be more than happy if someone could recommend a really good one for me to try out though? I usually just pop on a bit of moisturiser before I apply my foundation. Olay - Anti wrinkles (better to make a start early) eyy ha ha!

Base Product - L'Oreal Paris - Infallible I've used this foundation for quite some time. I'm a L'Oreal lover and swear by their stuff. Its a long lasting liquid foundation that's suppose to last up to 16 hours. I wouldn't say that it lasts that long, but it is really good! I use 260 Golden Sun.

Concealer - Rimmel match perfection concealer. Come's in a tube with a brush applied at the end.

Powder - I don't use a powder after my base as I like my face to have a glow to it rather than a dully matte powder.

Blusher (cream or powder) - Although I'm more of a bronzer type. I do have the odd days where I do go for a more girly look and use a blusher. If I do I use Sleek - Rose Gold or sometimes I use the Glossybox blusher it's quite nice but it has no shimmer.

Bronzer - I'm really into Collection 2000 bronzer at the minute, which is a shimmering glow powder. I use Mosaic Glow 6. You don't need much of this as its really shimmery! I love to wear it in the summer to give you that glow.

Highlighter - I use MeMeMe - Beat the blues in oyster gold. It's a replica of the benefit moon beam.

Make up brush (single) - Real Techniques - Multi tasker. I was going to say one of my eye shadow blending brushes, but if I were to choose between eye shadow or bronzer. Bronzer would win hands down!

Eyebrow product - I don't know what I would do without my 30 day mascara by Colorsport. It's a home tinting kit for your eyebrows and lashes! I do mine once a month it usually last's quite a few weeks. When they start to fade I just fill them in with a Rimmel eyebrow pencil in dark brown 001.

Eye shadow -  I really, really, really love the eye shadow 'SHY' in the MUA Undress me too - eye shadow palette. I don't know what I would do without it! I use it in the inner corner of my eyes and under my brows to highlight.

Eyeliner - I'm not really a huge eyeliner girl! I have the odd days where I apply a retro/vintage flick though. When I do this I use the L'Oreal Paris - Gel Intenza eyeliner in pure black.

Mascara -  L'Oreal Paris - Lash Architect in midnight black. I don't think ANYONE will ever get me to change my mind on this mascara. Most of my friends are now using it thanks to me.. It really is that good. If you've never tried it I really recommend you to!

Lipstick, lip gloss or lip stain - This is the hardest one for me... I'd have to go for LIPSTICK! Please don't make me choose just the one :( If I had to I'd probably go for the MUA - Shade 1 which is a deep red and is only £1.00!

Lip liner - Hmm I've really enjoyed using the Model Co lipliner that I got free in a Glamour magazine I bought the other month. It's an illusion nude lip liner.

Lip balm - Vaseline with cocoa butter. Although I don't really have to use a balm that much I love the smell of this one. Make's me want to eat it! :/

Nail polish - This is a hard one for me too! I love my nail polishes and have so many different brands. I just had a look in my nail box and I have to admit that it was such a hard choice, BUT my favourite has to be The Rimmel 60 seconds in - 320 Rapid Ruby. It's a really deep vintage red. Quite vampy!

And breathe!
that was a hard one
So here are my must have beauty items if I were to choose.
Do you use any of the product's or brand's that I have mentioned?

Go on give it a go!
If I haven't tagged you.. Feel free to join in!
Let me know when and if you've done it though, I'd love to check it out.

17 - Wild Metallics Eyes

When I popped into Boot's recently I picked up one of the 17 - Wild Metallic Eyes.
I'd watched one of my favourite Blogger's put up a video on her YouTube with her recent buy's and this was one of them that she had recommended.

It has a creamy mousse formula.
I find them really easy to apply.
I chose 'Wild Nude' as I thought it would go with most eye shadow's and could be worn as an every day colour.

It was only £3.99!!
You get quite a lot in the tubs too unlike most packaged like this where they use more glass than product.

You can wear this as a light colour or you can build the product up to make it more noticeable.

I will pick some more of these when I get chance to pop into boot's again.

Have you tried any of the wild metallic eye creams?

Paige Toon.

Lucy In The Sky
Paige Toon

I know this is a different post to usual, but I couldn't help but blab about this book!
I couldn't put the bloody thing down.

Sooooo... Before last week I'd never heard of the author Paige Toon.
I'm a sucker for a good book especially romantic/lovey dovey genre.
But thank heavens I came across her talented books on somebodies Instagram when I was having a quick nosey the other week.
Well after purchasing her first book that was released in 2007.
Lucy In The Sky
Which I have to admit.
That I read it in a couple of days, totally fell in love with some Australian surfer dude called Nathan & would of done anything to be in Lucy's shoes.
I was sad to finish the book as it made you feel like you were a part of it
*back to reality*
wah.

If you haven't read this book already then I highly suggest you to get it.
(download the sampler chapter on amazon first)
just in case it's not your kinda thing.
Well I had a little browse google to find that she had quite a few more books that were released. So I've now purchased the next one that was released after called Johnny Be Good.
It's sucked me in just like Lucy In The Sky did.

Have you read anything similar or by Paige Toon?
I was having a lazy Sunday today. You know the days where you look like a complete dirtbag?
Hair scragged up, Pj's on, No mask on your face.
Well I ended up being a serial shopper online and can't wait for my new items to come!
Finally purchased something off my wishlist hint hint!

P.s how cute is the little bundle of rings next to the book?
4 rings for £1.50
Oh Primarni you know why I love ya!

shine bright.

like some bronzers.
So girls I'm ready for a new bronzer & I'm sick of using the
same old drug store one that I've used for years that doesn't really compliment me anymore.
I currently use Rimmel, but I'm looking for something with a bit more of a glow to it.
I like my darker bronzers as I like my cheek bones  to stand out.
Does anyone know of any that are dark'ish with a glow to them?
I've never tried one of the Mac or Bobbi brown bronzers that a lot of people rave about
*hangs head in shame*
What are you currently using?& what do you recommend?

So anything that you've tried that's kind of got a highlighter glow to it
Blab away and let me know.
