NYX FULL THROTTLE LIPSTICKS, TAME & FRAME BROW POMADE AND THE CONTROL FREAK EYEBROW GEL.

NYX Professional Makeup Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade
Ok so I've been a little massively behind when it comes to brow products. I've just used my trusty old Rimmel eyebrow pencil for years as I don't usually have to do much to my brows and anything quick in a morning usually works for me. So this is the first brow pomade I've ever tried (I know I can't believe it either) haha. I went for the shade Brunette as I have quite dark eyebrows anyway and this looked like a good shade without being to dark.
What I love about this product is how easy it glides onto the skin/hair. It's so easy to work with! I'm totally obsessed. The product is waterproof, which is great for Spring, Summer, holidays and it's only £6!

NYX Professional Makeup Control Freak Eyebrow Gel

I use this product to set my brows once I've done them with the NYX Professional Makeup Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade. This product works without any product underneath, over pencil, over powder and pomade. You can even use it as a clear mascara if you're blessed with lovely lashes.
This product is non sticky and lasts all day. Not once do I have to touch my brows up when using both of these products together. I wasn't won over by the brush at first, but it works. I just think a comb brush would work a little bit better. This product is only £6 too. Such a bargain.

NYX Professional Makeup Full Throttle Lipstick
I was a little bit dubious about trying out these lipsticks previously as they never have the best reviews online, but I really love them! I don't think you can grumble for the price either for just £6 a lipstick. I've got 3 of these lipsticks now and just added these two to my collection. You can get these lipsticks in 12 different shades. They have a beveled tip making it easier to apply to the lip line. I'm all about quick make up these days. What I love about these lipsticks is the consistency for a matte lipstick. They feel so buttery/creamy on the lips when you apply and the coverage is amazing.

RIMMEL LASTING FINISH BY KATE MOSS #30 ROSSETTO.

COULD THIS BE THE PERFECT DRUGSTORE BERRY LIP?

Rimmel London has to be one of my favourite brands when it comes to drugstore lipsticks. Like how is it possible to buy a lipstick which is such great value for just £5.49? In fact I bet I own more Rimmel lipsticks than I do any other brand.

Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Moss #30 Rossetto is a gorgeous berry/plum shade and the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Black Tulip pairs perfectly with this lipstick, in fact these two have become my go to lip products for the last couple of months, which you can probably tell in my fashion posts. I love me a berry lip! I can remember a time when I'd only wear nude shades on my lips, now all I seem to wear is anything that's dark or berry toned.

What I love about these two lip products is that they usually last me quite a few hours, probably one or two touch ups throughout the day and that's it (usually after I've eaten something), but even when the lipstick/liner fades, it doesn't disappear completely and it does leave a nice stain to the lips. I find the Rimmel Lasting Finish lipsticks to be very moisturising, long lasting on the lips and super pigmented. What more could you ask for? Especially at that price too. Now I'm not a fan of sticky glossy lipsticks, so these ones are great not 100% matte, but they last like a matte yet have a silky finish.

What I also like to do with the Black Tulip lip liner is to line my lips, then colour in the inner corners of my lips and then I apply a nude lipstick to the middle and rub the lips together to create an ombre lip. I usually go for the Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick in Nude Delight when creating this look.

"You should never go out the house without putting your lippie on" said every nannan.
- That's right nannan! I never, ever go out without my lipstick on.

Do you love a berry lip as much as me?

YSL - ROUGE VOLUPTE LIPSTICK - PEACH PASSION #13

Firstly I'd just like to say a big thank you to Latasha over at TodayIAdore for giving me the opportunity to win this fabulous lipstick. I still can't believe I won! I never win at anything! Now the only problem is... I want them all! Thank you so much hunnie! Be sure to check out her gorgeous blog, you won't regret it x

The Rouge Volupte lipsticks have a satin finish (I believe) and come in a wide range of colours, 30 I believe. The texture of this lipstick is like no other lipstick that I own, it's super creamy (without being too soft), highly pigmented - just a swipe is enough and it smells divine! Kind of like grapefruit, definitely fruity. The lipstick is quite like a lip butter, but lasts a lot longer and is far more pigmented. I'd say you need a touch up every 2/3 hours, although lipsticks never last forever and a day on me as I'm forever eating and drinking. As you can see from the pictures and swatch above the colour of this lipstick is peachy/pink and it is a lot brighter on than I thought. It could quite possibly be my favourite Summer holiday lipstick.

How fricking pretty are these YSL lipsticks? I feel like I'm in lipstick heaven! It's definitely staying on my dressing table, that's for sure! (show off! show off!) *la, la, la, laaaaaa, la* I feel like I own a one of a kind lipstick when I pull this little gold tube of delight out of my handbag. The packaging is gorgeous enough to make anybody stare. I really like how they show the colour through the YSL logo too, making it easier for you to grab that shade you're after. Which one shall I get next ladies and gents? Recommendations welcome!

REVLON LIPSTICK IN CARNIVAL SPIRIT

When I looked down the clear lid the lipstick looked like the MUST have orange lipstick for my holiday, boy was I wrong! I was so disappointed when I swatched this lipstick as I didn't realise it was more like a lip tint than a lipstick. I wanted something similar to the MAC lipstick in Morange.

Carnival Spirit is one of Revlons 'Super Lustrous' lipsticks, which I didn't know at the time! That will teach me for just picking things up from random counters, in random places. The Super Lustrous lipsticks look like they would be super pigmented, but they aren't really and they do apply sheer. The swatch above was swatched back and forth quite a few times for that pigmentation to show, if you like your lips with a hint of colour you may love this lipstick. Now I have quite dark lips so lip tints aren't really something I ever reach out for as they don't do me any justice what so ever. This is what happens when I don't look at swatches before I buy. The lipstick isn't very long lasting on the lips either, one swig of a drink and it's off. I would of loved this lipstick in a matte finish, just imagine how gorgeous the lipstick would be.

Overall Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks aren't really my cup of tea, but you may have a different opinion if you like this type of finish. It's such a pretty shade when applied over and over again. I wouldn't buy another in this finish anyway and it's taught me to look at the label before I buy ha! What's your favourite finish?

Revlon - Nude Attitude

I must be on a hunt for my all time favourite lipstick or something, as all I seem to be buying at the minute is lipsticks! So I picked up this Revlon lipstick in Superdrug, this one is in Nude Attitude 001. I'm usually the biggest fan of nude lipsticks and glosses, but this one completely washes me out if worn alone.

It's more on the peachy nude side rather than pink, to me it has a blue undertone, which you can just about see in the pictures above and when worn it shines through the lipstick. It is rumoured to be a good dupe of the MAC lipstick in Myth, which I've also heard washes a lot of people out too. Then again I wouldn't know as I've never tried Myth before. Have you?

Nude Attitude is a matte finish. The lipstick didn't pull as such, but it did sink into any cracks or dry patches on my lips that I didn't even know I had. The only way to get wear out of this lipstick is to apply a layer of gloss/balm over the top. Now we're talking! I really like the look of this lipstick with gloss on top. The only problem is that the lipstick goes blotchy and you loose the pigmentation of the lipstick really fast. The pigmentation isn't that great to start with, you do have to layer it up but that could have something to do with it being so nude. I was also disappointed in the staying power, I had to keep topping up every hour or so. Would I purchase again? Probably not no.

Has anyone else tried this lipstick?
I usually love the ones from Revlon but this one just didn't impress me at all.

Lips In Rio Rio

I've been loving Topshop and their beauty range so much recently. I picked up this lipstick in Rio Rio, which is a bright red shade with orange undertones. I should of probably swatched this next to a really red lipstick so you could see the orange undertones in it. As you can see from the swatch above Rio Rio is extremely pigmented. I've always been a little scared to wear orange on my lips, but I always think it looks so nice when I see it on other people. This is probably the safest option though! I can imagine this lipstick to suit most skin tones as the orange in the lipstick really brightens up the whole face.

Rio Rio is a satin matte finish, I found this lipstick more moisturising than most matte lipsticks. So it glided onto the lips just lovely with no pulling. I haven't had any dryness or flakey lips like I usually get with a matte finish. the staying power lasted a few hours and after transfer it did leave a nice stain to my lips. The swatch that was done for this post must of been on my arm for about 8-10 minutes and it stained right away. This lipstick was only £8.00 and it was well worth purchasing. I'd say they are quite comparable to your higher end lipsticks like I mentioned in my previous post about Lips In Peach Sundae. There's a lot of people that say they are on par with MAC lipsticks, but there's obviously not as much colour choice.

Bourjois - Shine Edition Lipstick - 1,2,3, Soleil.

I think have a lipstick addiction lately! I've bought so many as of recent. Every time I'm in one of my local drug stores... a lipstick just seems to appear within my hands. Maybe it's fate?

So here we have the Bourjois - Shine Edition Lipstick in 1,2,3, Soleil (shade 20). Which is a gorgeous coral shade, more on the red/coral side of colours. I seem to be swaying from my nude lipsticks ladies and gentle! Can you believe it? Nah! Me either.

Now there are rumours that the Bourjois Shine Edition lipstick range are often compared to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I can kind of agree with. The coverage is sheer, yet build able. So you can go from a light kind of tinted balm to a much more intense kind of lipstick, which may I add looks super glossy at all times. There is nothing worse than a drying lipstick that makes all your cracks and dry parts of your lips stand out! Obviously with the lipsticks being so balm like the longevity of the product won't last forever on the lips, but it is gorgeous for everyday wear. I think there will be a lot of people that love these lipsticks. Especially anyone that wears Vaseline etc. on there lips daily. It's kind of like a two in one - adds a tint to the lips and also keeps your lips hydrated throughout the day.

Revlon Colour Rush Balm - Give Me A Cuddle Review.

I basically bought this product on a whim. I was never into the Revlon lip butters, Bourjois colour boost lip crayons or the clinique chubby sticks. In fact this is my first lip balm that I've bought in a long time! I think the only thing close to this that I own is the Jelly Pong Pong lip crayon that came free in one of my Glossy boxes. *hides face in shame*

You can buy the Revlon colour rush balm's in 7 different shades. I went for 'Give Me A Cuddle' how cute is that name? I'm a sucker for a good name. Nothing bugs me more than just a number. Give Me A Cuddle is a pale pink balm as you can see in the pictures above. Sorry that there isn't a swatch (fake tan arms doesn't compliment it very well).  The balm is super moisturising, with a great pigmentation to say its a balm and left my lips feeling hydrated all night long. I did re-apply quite a few times, but when do we go out and not have to re-apply our lippies girls? That's something that will never happen, unless you have some kind of cosmetic tattoo done on your lips haha.

I've recently read quite a lot of reviews from beauty bloggers that didn't really rate these balms, but I couldn't fault it and I'll definitely be picking up some new colours. Especially with the summer coming in :) The scent of these crayons smell amazing too! Kinda reminded me of cupcakes or something really sweet.

Purchased from Boots store for just £5.99

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick 26.

  Just another nude SHOCK

So when I went to Meadowhall shopping with some of my work friends recently, I popped in Boots for a new lipstick. I did go in there thinking I was going to buy a pink or coral... Something different to nude anyway.
Duh, duh, duhhhhhhh!
We have another nude to add to the collection!

This lipstick is part of Kate Moss's 2nd lipstick range and just costing £5.49 a lipstick, you cannot refuse. Not the when you say in your head 'well a MAC lipstick would cost me £15' that's the way I work when I'm shopping I just tell myself I can have everything by just comparing it to pricier things haha. The 2nd range of lipsticks appear to be a lot lighter than the first lipsticks that were brought out, more wearable throughout the day for me as I can't really pull off a dark lip in the day time.

Pros
Great pigmentation
Affordable
Smells nice
Perfect consistency
Moisturising on the lips (always ex-foliate before wearing lipsticks though or use a balm)

Cons
I had to re-apply this lipstick quite a few times throughout the day

Finish: semi matte & opaque

What Kate Said:
"Whilst I'll always have my favourite timeless shades, I love to update my lipstick to reflect the new season's style. I wanted to play with fresh and darling colour to create a look that's fun and feminine with an edge."

heres a picture of me wearing the lipstick :)
it's the perfect shade for everyday wear

Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick - Nude Delight.

(Check out that French Bulldog Onesie)
If you've been following my blog for a while you'll probably already know that I'm a magpie when it comes to nude/peach lipsticks. Some would say I like to play it safe. So when I came across this Rimmel lipstick in boots the other week, I just had to purchase it.

When applying the lipstick it's as if it instantly melts on the lips, it's super pigmented and so moisturising. No one loves dry lips do they? It's one those lipstick's that you don't need to apply a gloss over the top. It's just perfect. Now the only thing I could fault is that it doesn't stay on the lips as long as others due to it been so moisturising, but I can cope with that as I'm forever reapplying my glosses. Rimmel say that this lipstick is like 'a hug for your lips' and I couldn't put it any better myself. So anyone who avoids wearing lipsticks due to having dry lips would find this range of lipsticks more suitable. I think it's a brilliant lipstick to wear during these colder seasons.

The lipstick retails at £6.49 and comes in 20 different shades, going from your nudes to really dark vampy shades. Basically there's a lipstick for everyone. 'Nude Delight' is a nude which is quite peachy so it look's super natural without washing you out. I reckon Kim K would love this one. Now if you were to ask me if I would purchase more of these lipsticks? I Definitely would! I really like the scent they have to them as well. I'm no good at describing scents, so I wont even attempt it haha.

I can't believe how close it is to Christmas! I'm so excited, although I was disappointed in myself for not picking up a beauty advent calendar. The Benefit one looks amazing! I only have around 7 presents left to buy, which is quite good considering how many people I have to buy for (the joys of having a humongous family). Well I hope everyone's alright and enjoying the countdown to Christmas.

Revlon - Black Cherry.

I'm pretty sure we all know about Revlon and their lovely make-up range. Well quite a few months back I picked up one of their lipsticks in 'Black Cherry' as a lot of people were comparing it to one of the MAC lipsticks in 'Dark Side' and even one of Tom Fords lipsticks. Now I must of been having one of those days when you feel a little more daring than most days. As I'm usually a nude/peach type of girl (talk about going out of my comfort zone). The only time I do wear a dark lipstick is on a big night out or a special occasion and saying that it's only a deep red.

Now if you're looking for a statement lipstick then this may be the one for you. The lipstick does cost £7.49 which isn't that pricey. For a lipstick that goes on smoothly and is quite moisturising anyway. The longevity of this lipstick isn't amazing, but it does look nice applied lightly as a lip stain with a bit of gloss applied over the top (if you don't want it to look to heavy). I like the fact that the lipstick has no odour to it and that the packing is very sleek. Especially the clear tops, making the specific shades easier to find.

Here is a swatch of the lipstick.

As you can see the shade is a deep plum/berry. It does look a little darker on my lips when its just applied as a lipstick, nothing else.

Overall this lipstick is a gorgeous shade and I love the look of it on others, but it just isn't for me. It doesn't really suit my skin tone and kind of washes me out. I've worn it a few times and wish I didn't bother. I'm sure it will come in good use next Halloween or something though haha.

Have you tried Revlon lipsticks before?
Do deep shades put you off too sometimes?

NYX Round Lipstick in Iconic

I have no idea why this top picture has made the lipstick look like it's a berry shade

NYX Cosmetics
LSS Round lipstick in 'Iconic'
& the Slim lip pencil in 'Nude Pink'.

So I finally made my first order with NYX, yayyyy!
& I'm over the moon with my new little purchases (yes there's more).
Which means you'll have to come back and have a little nosey to see what else I picked up.

So I decided to try one of the famous 'Round Lipsticks' & YES that is a pink lipstick that I now own :o I cant believe it either.

Iconic & Nude Pink
here is a swatch of the lipstick & liner when applied to my lips.

First of all I have to tell you all how shocked I were when I first applied the lipstick to my lips. It is the most moisturising lipstick that I own and I instantly fell in love. It is AMAZING! The LSS Round lipsticks are a mineral-based emollient formula , which offers a beautiful velvet texture and a gorgeous colour pay off. Especially for the price I only ended up paying £2.50 for this lipstick. Reduced from £4.00 in their sale online. Everyone loves a bargain! What better way to test lipstick shades though? Can't say no with that price & there's 144 shades to choose from.

The shade itself is a pretty rose-nude with a touch of mauve, it's so pretty and subtle for an everyday look. I bet it look's lovely paired with some smoky eyes as well for when you're off to paint the town red. I never really got that saying, so I don't even know why I've just wrote it haha.
I'll definitely be going back for some more, you can never have enough lipsticks girls and boys :)
I wanted to buy 'Tea Rose', but it were out of stock, waaah.

As you can see the NYX slim lip liner is a must have for a natural nude shade looking lip with a slightly pink hue. So it is a perfect match for this lipstick and any other nude/natural lipstick that you may own. I really do rate these lip liners. They are easy to apply, blend able and so smooth on the lips. For just £3.50 you can't grumble. There's also lots & lots of shades to choose from with these too.

The only negatives about the lipstick is that it doesn't stay put, but I wouldn't really expect something not to budge when it's that moisturising on the lips. Then the finally point I have to make is RESEARCH the shade you're looking at buying as the swatches online are completely different to the lipstick shade. The best thing to do is to type in the name of the shade into Google e.g. Iconic swatches to show you the real shade that it is.

Have you tried the round lipsticks?
What's your favourite shade to wear?

Lips In Peach Sundae

So yesterday when I went shopping with one of my best friends to Meadowhall, I picked up one of Topshops lipstick. I was um-ing and ah-hing between this one and infrared, which is a lot brighter than it shows on their website, it's a vibrant orange for anyone that hasn't heard of it before. I decided to play it safe with a peachy/coral shade instead, as I thought that I'd get more wear out of it than a bright orange. (I will purchase something more exciting than nude, coral next time I promise) haha!
This is the first time I've tried anything from Topshops make up range, quite embarrassing to say they've had one for a few years now.
*hangs head in shame*
The lipstick is retailed at £8.00, which I think is quite cheap for a lipstick, especially if your like me and can't always afford one of the high-end lipsticks such as YSL, MAC etc.
I found the lipstick was easy to apply, had great pigmentation and left my lips feeling nice and moisturised.
There isn't anything that I disliked about the lipstick.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks before?
Or any of their beauty cosmetics?

Whilst I were in Topshop it seems that my 'to buy' list has got even longer! I saw the nicest boyfriend coat that I've ever laid eyes on, the only thing is that it's... lime green! I'm a little scared that I would look like the Grinch or something if I got it haha! Has anyone seen it?
